Surah 16


The Bees/The Pick

1. Has come God’s Aim, hasten him not, transcends He, High above what they affix,
2. Descends He the angels by the Spirit from His Aim upon whom He will of His abiders in Him, that do warn that no deity is but Me, do take refuge in Me,
[The verb “to descend” in English cannot be used in a transitive form, but the two possible meanings thus generated are totally within the spirit of the verse.]

 

3. Created He the heavens and the earth by the Law, High is He over what they affix,
4. Created He mankind from a drop, and there it was a separate rival,
5. And the Bounties, created them He for you, in them is warmth and benefits, from them you eat/help yourselves,
6. And for you in them is Beauty, when you settle and when you travel,
7. They carry your burdens to your countries, you could not have reached it except by exerting/splitting the selves, indeed God is Kind and Compassionate,
8. And the horses, the mules and the donkeys: for you to ride them, and an ornament, and creates He what you know not,
[Such a declaration has come in a number of ancient scripts, but every time people took it that 7 is about their lineage and 8 is about the others: their arrogance and pride ruined them, they became actually 8.
It is not for humans to make such classifications. So, to what do the Books hint?
It’s reassurance for those with vision. It increases humility and compassion for them.]

 

9. Upon God is the tread of the Way, some of them are rough, and if He will He would guide you all together,
10. It is He who dropped water from the sky, for you is beverage from it, and from it are trees about which you evaluate,
11. By it, He grows for you vegetation, olive and palm trees, grape vines, and of all the fruit, in this is indeed a marvel for the people who reflect,
12. Employed He for you the night and the day, the sun, the moon and the stars, all working for His Aim, indeed is this are miracles for the people who discern,
13. And what He sowed for you in the earth: different in colour, in this is a miracle for the people who remember,
14. And it is He Who employed the seas, to eat tender flesh from them, and to extract jewelry that you wear, and you see the ships traversing them, for you to want His generous giving, and may you be thankful,
[A lot of acknowledgement or lack of it: is the result of admiration, in different modes and levels of consciousness,
When people demand what they think of as a miracle: as a proof of God, they have missed the miracle of everyday that they should perceive,
And when people find only material benefit for their continuance: as a proof of God, they have missed the miracle of their ability to perceive.]

15. And cast He anchors in the earth, that it may not drift in you, and rivers and routes, may you be guided,
16. And signs, and by the stars they are guided,
17. Is He who creates like the one who does not create? Don’t you remember?
18. And if you consider God’s givings you can’t count them, God is Forgiving Compassionate,
19. And God knows what you secret and what you announce,
20. And those who are called [we read “
يُدعَون”] below God: create nothing, and they are created,
21. Dead, unalive and unaware where they will be remitted,
22. Your God is One God, and those who do not believe in the hereafter: their hearts are in denial, they are arrogant,
23. Undoubtedly, God knows what they secret and what they announce, and likes not He the prideful ones,
24. And if it was said to them: “what did your Lord descend?”, they say: “the fallacies of the early ones”,
25. So they carry their burdens in their entirety the day of the Up-rise, and of the burdens of those who bewildered them, without their knowledge, bad is what they burden,
26. They plotted: the ones before them, so God came to their edifice from its foundations, thus the roof collapsed over them from above them and suffering came to them from where they didn’t feel,
27. Then, the day of the Up-rise He disappoints them and says He: “where are My partners that you were driven [we read “
تُساقون"] by?”, those who are given the knowledge say: “the disappointment today and the ill is over the darkened ones”,
28. Those whom the angels redeem darkened by themselves, they cast the peace [and say]: “we weren’t doing bad”, nay, God is All knowing of what you were doing,
29. Enter the doors of the low world, in it you are eternally, bad is the lodge of the arrogant ones,
30. And it is said to those who took refuge: “what did your Lord descend?”, they say: “good; for those who were radiant in this world is radiance, and the home/circle of the hereafter is better, eminent is the home/circle of the refuging ones”,
[If you are still thinking that this Page is persuading you to adopt a particular religion, or to shun another one, I’m sorry to tell you that you’ve missed the point of this Book and the Book that you say that you believe, and even the secular philosophy that you embrace and find comfort in,
Indeed, the Torah is not for the Jews, the Gospel is not for the Christians, the Qur’an is not for the Muslims and the Hikmah is not for the Druze,
If you can take any of those as the Book of the creation and the Aim, you have learned the most important thing, and you have taken your first steps out of the bazar of religions and ideologies.]

31. Gardens of Eden, they enter them, the days stream underneath them, for them is what they will in it, thus God rewards the refuging one,
32. Those whom the angels redeem alive, they say; “enter, peace be upon you, enter the garden by what you have been doing”,
[It is only a matter of time until the people of earth make their first encounter with good beings of other worlds.
People cannot be remitted in those worlds until they have advanced to cosmic awareness and compassion.
If they are taken to those worlds with their burdens of want and selfishness: they can’t survive,
In a past cycle of time, Zimran took his half-brother Isaac to the planet of the three suns, after he insisted. Isaac couldn’t stop lusting the young men and women during their parades of athletics, beauty and health, so he was sent back to earth.]

33. Do they expect except that the angels come to them, or that God’s Aim comes? Thus also did the ones before them, God didn’t wrong them but they were wronging themselves,
34. The ill of what they did hit them, and surrounded them: what they were derisive of,

35. And those who have affixed say: “had God willed, we wouldn’t worship anything below Him, neither would we and nor would our forefathers, and neither would we forbid anything below him”, thus also did the ones before them, isn’t it upon the messenger only the promulgation of clarification?
[This is in fact the say of all Abrahamic religions, who worship people and stones, and forbid to one another the worship people and stones. And if you asked them, they say it is God’s will.
Qur’anic interpreters, from the standpoint of belief or disbelief in it, haven’t noticed that this Book is actually addressing the people of religions including themselves.]

36. We have remitted/resurrected in every nation a messenger, that abide by god, avoid the Tyranny, some of them were guided and some of them bewilderment was due on them, walk the earth, and look what was the consequence of the falsifiers,
37. If you are concerned about guiding them: God guides not those who get lost [we read “
يَضل”], they have no supporters,
38. They swear solemnly by God and by their faith that God does not remit/reincarnate the dead, nay, it is a promise due on Him, but most people know not,
39. So that He clarifies to them what they differed about, and so that those who disbelieved know that they were lying,
[Because it will be shown to everyone, that a messenger that was followed or worshipped by one name: is himself the messenger or prophet that was hated and cursed in another name; and how often is it that personalities that are called Satan or Iblis have been falsely worshipped or taken for messengers and prophets.]

40. That so, Our say to something that We’ve willed: that We say “be”, so it becomes,
41. And those who forsook [worldly interests] in God after having been darkened: that We shall award them a radiant one in the low life, and in the hereafter the reward is bigger, if they knew,
42. Those who forebear, and upon their Lord they rely,
43. And We sent but men before you, We inspired to them, do ask the people of remembrance, if you didn’t know,
44. With discriminates and Oracles, and We descended the remembrance to you to show the people what was descended to them, may they reflect,
45. Can they guarantee, those who plotted ill, that God will [not] eclipse the earth in them, or bring them suffering from where they don’t feel?
46. Or that He takes them in their turnings [between lives and deaths]?, for they are not invincible,
47. Or that He take them upon fright? for your Lord is Kind Compassionate,
[The “taking” mentioned here is an act of compassion, not an apprehension.]

48. Have they not looked at what God created of thing(s), [so they] shelter in His shadows, about their alphas and omegas [their souls and their physical bodies], prostrating to God, they are expelled,
49. To God prostrated what’s in the heaven, and what’s in the earth of a walker, crawler, swimmer or flyer, also the angels, they do not shun,
50. They fear their Lord from above them, they do what they are commanded,
51. And said God: “take not two gods”, to Him is the redemption/religion steady/straight, is it in other than God that they refuge?

52. To Him what’s in the heaven and the earth, to Him is the redemption/religion toilingly, is it in other than God that you refuge?
53. What have you of good is from God, then if harm touched you, you are defiant of Him,
54. Then if removed He the harm from you, then a group of you are to their Lord affixing,

55. That they disbelieve what We bring them; rejoice, and will know,
56. And they make to what they don’t know a share of what We provided them! By God, you will be asked about what you’ve been fretting,
[In other words, they come up with theories and claim that it is truth. This is achieved by drawing on existing models.
This, in fact, is how all ideologies and religions work. With rudimentary natural knowledge and the basic morality of the time: a theory is built, seemingly coherent and making sense. People who find comfort in it get attached emotionally to it, thus it becomes a belief, and over many lives it is imprinted on people’s psyches. The Ghita has truly said that people are created of their beliefs.]

57. And they make/offer the girls to God, transcends He, and to them what they desire!
58. And if one them is given the tidings of a female: his face remains blackened and he’s upset,
59. He hides from the people, of what he was told; shall he hold on to it, or bury it in the earth? Bad is what they judge,
[This is about the then tradition of burying the unwanted new born females, alive,
Although the practice has stopped: its evil spirit is still alive and kicking in the Middle Eastern mind, the Islamic or non-Islamic,
Honour killing occurs frequently, and no religious authority seems concerned about it. And it is worst when it is believed to be a religious duty: to protect the blood purity of the tribe.]

60. To those who believe not in the hereafter is the example of ill, to God is the Highest Model, is He the Exalted Sovereign,
61. If God took the people by their wrong: He wouldn’t leave a walker on it, but He postpones them to an allotted term, so when their destiny becomes to them: they [can] delay not one hour, nor [can] they bring [one] forward,


62. And they make/attribute to God what they hate, their tongues describe lies, [and] that to them is the good; undoubtedly, to them is hell, they are broken apart,
[You see religious people saying that all their misery and misfortune is from god, and that they have to keep thanking him nevertheless, to keep him happy.
A god of such a character is not worth a worship, it has been said many times on this Circle,
Better that people try to learn the causes of things. Thus they will strive to expand their knowledge and improve their character, so they can be guided …
In such a frame of mind: the surrender to the Will of the Creator is true faith.]

63. God! We have sent [messengers] to nations before you, Satan has embellished their deeds, he is their master today, and to them is great suffering,
64. We descended not the Book onto you except to clarify to them what they differed about, and guidance and compassion to the people who believe,
65. And God descended water from the sky, by it He enlivened the earth after its death, in this is a marvel to a people who take a heed,
[As said many times, that physical phenomena are only projections of models of Mind, Image and Animation. The frequent mention of physical phenomena is meant to give reassurance to those who vision, that what they see in their skies is the provider of truth to what they see in the earth and the sky.]

66. And in the Bounties you have an example, We serve you from their esoterica, from between inner and outer [conceptions]: a pure beverage, pleasurable to the drinkers,
[The Arabic words have been taken by their esoteric essences only. If people wish to take them literally, it is their choice. In this case: a book is delivered on the hands of a winged man to tell the people what to eat and drink.]

67. And from the fruit of the pick/elite, and the steps [we read “أعتاب"]: you take from them euphoria and good providence, in this is a marvel to the people who discern,
68. And inspired God to the elite [we read “
النخل"] that take the mountains as home, and the trees, and of [everything] that climbs,
69. Then eat of all the fruit; so you tread the Ways of your Lord humbly; so from their esoterica a drink comes out, various in colour, in it is remedy to the people; in this is a miracle to a people who ponder,

70. And God created you, then He redeems you, some of you are returned to the worst age, so he may not know anything after knowledge, God is Knower Capable,
[Yet another verse declaring the truth of reincarnation, as clearly as a bright sun.
But, according to Islamic interpreters it is saying that people get old and become demented, and when they die god takes them …
But not every person reaches old age, and not every old person becomes demented. Their interpretation is therefore false, naturally and logically.
Their intellectual inadequacy goes unnoticed by the many who follow them or rival them on the platform of monotheistic beliefs …
The returning to the age when one knows nothing after knowledge is none but a rebirth: when a child has to start learning again: language, motor skills and so forth …
As for those who are redeemed: those are them who have fulfilled the purpose of their low lives, and are returned to a higher existence: as all messages, from the Far East to the West have taught.]

71. And God elevated some of you over some by providence, so those who are elevated are not returning their providence: in what their right hands/souls have reigned/possessed, they are in it together, is it God’s Good that they would repudiate?
[The interpretation of this verse that Islamic scholars have come up with: is a reaffirmation of the socio-economic inequality and the unfettered greed of the ruling dynasties that dominate religious societies, much so the Islamic ones …
In brief: they say that people should not give their possessions to their slaves or those who work for them: otherwise they would be equating themselves with those who are their inferiors: thus they would be rejecting god’s favour to them …!
Hence, greed and inequality are god’s law, and all the vices which go hand in hand with them are hence halal (legitimate): corruption, bribery, monopoly, underpayment of workers, embezzlement of government’s funds especially if the government is not “Islamic” to the standard of the embezzler ...
The fortunes that wealthy pious Muslims amass by such means in their countries, and in countries which have lax laws allowing such practices …: are considered to be god’s providence, and should never be returned to the people: this is disobedience to god,
This is why Islamic countries going by whichever version of Shariah law, whether Sunni or Shia, have corrupt governments, corrupt laws and corrupt wealthy men going by corrupt business practices …
All this is not an issue of concern to the religious authorities of all colours and alliances …
In such a belief, the economic, social, political and intellectual backwardness of those countries are only the result of the conspiracies of foreign forces ..., and of course it is their god’s will, who has allowed this to happen: because if they stick to his law as they understand it: they will all be ushered into the paradise where their patience will be rewarded.]

72. And God has made for you from your selves: pairs, and made He from your pairs: sons and grandsons, and provided you with good things, is it by falsehood that they believe and by God’s giving that they disbelieve?
[Whether people have souls, and where those souls go after death, and where do they come from …: are questions which have been a subject of debate for many millennia …
Science and technology will perhaps never be able to give a definitive answer, but the fact that they can’t: doesn’t automatically mean that the soul doesn’t exist …
Hence spiritism is still thriving, and ghost stories are still popular, and of course the business of talking to the dead …
On the other hand, while the concept of reincarnation is still hard to digest for many people, many others feel that they were alive many times before the present, and nothing can change their feelings …
Although the philosophic argument is very strong in favour of reincarnation: many still prefer to see their lives as a random event, or as the arbitrary decision of a god …
Hence, I can’t provide proof to my understanding of this Qur’anic verse. People have to follow their instincts, and have to have an open mind about different concepts. A life that is not questioned and investigated is not worth living, as Plato once said …
The “pair” that is mentioned often in the Qur’an is taken by monotheist religions as a wife. So when it says that your “pairs” are created from your selves, it is understood that women are created from the man’s soul …, in the same way Eve was created from Adam’s rib …
The way COB sees it is that the “pair” is one’s own life in a physical body, and that the “self” is one’s soul above, before and after one’s all physical existences …: as a repository of all life experiences: since its liberation in a dual existence,
This is consistent with Plotinus’s theory in his Enneads … and indeed with monotheist Books, if they are taken by their esoteric essences …]

 

73. And they worship below God what reigns no good for them from the heavens and the earth, and they cannot,
74. So, do not draw models of God, God knows and you know not,
[The explanation of physical existence, as provided by evolutionary science or religions: are none but intellectual models, based on the theorists’ observations and own experiences …
True Tawheedic (Union) knowledge is a witness in one’s own vision, and is not explicable by intellectual concepts or historical events, or by the presence of certain people or stones …
COB will not shy from saying this over and over … as it has been said in all the Books, over and over: so people stop awarding themselves the loftiest titles of faith and tawheed according to their definitions, while cursing everyone else as the dwellers of the low world.]

 

75. God draws a model: a slave, owned [and] incapable over anything, and one whom We provided from Us good providence, he utilises it secretly and openly: are they equal? The homage is to God, but most of them know not,
76. And God draws a model: two men, one is mute, incapable over anything, and he is reliant on his master, wherever he directs him he can’t [do] anything, is he equal with the one who commands by justice and is on a straight path?
[Again here, the point is not the random events of nature, and nor is it the predetermined destiny of people, as in all monotheist religions …
People reject the concept of karma and find comfort in randomness and predeterminism, and this is their choice …
War and coercion will not alter people’s minds by one iota, and while the promulgation of knowledge is knowledgeable people’s responsibility: people’s development and progress intellectually, spiritually and ethically are their own responsibility …
And as has been said many times, the purpose of publishing an English reading of this Book is not to convert anyone to any religion: but indeed to free the Qur’an and all the Books from all religions: which have claimed exclusive ownership and understanding of them.]

77. And to God is the Unseen of the heavens and the earth, the matter of the Hour is like a glance of an Eye, or even closer, God is Capable of all things,
78. And God brought you out of your mothers’ wombs, you know nothing, and made He for you hearing, vision and hearts, may you be thankful,
[The entire of the cosmic manifestation is a blink of an Eye. It happens spontaneously and rhythmically, the Ghita has told it,
The Creation is thus liberated and retrieved: alternating between Unity and Duality, and Duality is none but vision and other forms of observation …]

79. Have they not seen the flyers, employed in the sky’s atmosphere, only God captures them, in this are marvels to the people who believe,
80. And God made a settlement for you from your Homes, and made He strength for you from the Bounties: homes in which you shelter [we read “
تستحفونها”] the day you travel and the day you settle; and from their dress, their strings [we read “أوتارها”] and their poetry: furniture and pleasure for a term,
[The worshippers and the haters of the Qur’an alike will reject this reading, and this is their choice. Muslims prefer a book which gives them an unfettered license to hunt and kill animals, even if this brings wild life close to extinction, and non-Muslims prefer to see the Qur’an as a book for a primitive people,
In either case the presence of the “Bounties” goes unnoticed. They are the good prophets and messengers and their sixteen assistants (the sixteen Arhats in Buddhist theology) and their sub-assistants, who often come to the world without the fanfare of prophethood, but indeed as genius men and women, who set civilisations on the track of development and advancement by every possible means,
Many great poets and musical composers were prophets and messengers … but let’s not forget David and his psalms,
And let’s not forget the Muashshah of Andalusia, which was about divine love …
Unfortunately, Arabic music has dwindled in sensual love and senseless subjects, and the Muashshah itself is now about sensuality …, while Western classical music has indeed adhered to the good path that Bach and Beethoven have set it on …
And let’s not forget the poetry of al-Hallaaj, al-Ma’arry and the literary works and poems of Dante,
And more recently, the great literary works of Tolstoy and Dickens …
And of course, the mathematicians and the philosophers of the Age of enlightenment …]

81. And God made for you from what He created: shadows, and from the mountains [made He] dwellings, and made He garments protecting you from the heat and garments protecting you from your [own] violence thus He completes His providence upon you, may you surrender [to Him],
82. If they turn away, what’s upon you is only the clarifying announcement,
83. They acknowledge God’s Providence then they repudiate it, most of them are distant ones,
[The verses are pointing to the essences from which the physical objects, i.e. the shadows: manifest.]

84. And the day We bring out from every nation a witness: those who have distanced will not be listened to, nor will they be made to step in/be reproached,
85. And when those who darkened see the suffering: it will not be mitigated for them, nor will they be looked,
86. And when those who have affixed see their affixes: they say “our Lord, these are our affixes/partners that we invoked below Thee”, address the say to them: you are indeed liars,
87. And they thence come to God The Peace, and quits them what they were fretting,
88. Those who disbelieved and barred from the Way of God, We have added suffering on top of their suffering, of what they were corrupting,
[Being subjected to physical laws is suffering, and if those aren’t observed and considered: the suffering is multiplied. This is the destiny of ignorant humanity.]

89. And the day We remit in every nation a witness of them, from their own selves, and We’ve come by you as witness of those, We’ve descended the Book unto you, clarifying everything, and guidance, compassion and glad tidings to the surrenderers/Muslims,
90. That God commands by Justice and Radiance, and [commands to] approach the ones of nearness, and it deters from vice, obscenity and aggressiveness, and counsels you, may you remember,
91. And do make good on your covenant to God if you covenanted, diminish not your oaths after confirming them, and you have taken God as a Guarantor over you, God does know what you do,
92. And be not like the one who broke her isolation [we read “
عزلها”] after [she was given] power, in violation, taking your oaths as [an issue of] division between yourselves, so that one nation be mightier than [another] nation; that so God tries you by it, and to show you the day of the Up-rise what you differed about,
93. Had God willed, He would have made you one nation, but so that bewilder whoever wants [to bewilder] and be guided whoever wants [to be guided], and you will be asked about what you did,
94. And take not your oaths as divider between yourselves, so the foot has slipped after being established, and you experience ill by that you shunned the Way of God, and to you is great suffering,
95. And exchange not God’s covenant for petty gain, what is in God is Good for you, if you were knowers,
96. What you have runs out, and what God has remains, and We reward those who are forbearing, better than what they were doing,
[And I can only hope that all religions and sects who say that they have covenanted god, secretly or openly, are listening.
The “text” is not the point, as many have been complaining. It is the essence that is. Please express it in another text of your own wording, if this helps you.]

97. Who does a good deed, whether a male or a female, while believing, We shall enliven them a good life, and We shall reward them their reward, better than they were doing,
98. So when you read the Qur’an: shelter in God from the outcast Satan,
99. Has he no authority over those who believed and upon their Lord they rely,
100. That so, his authority is over those who take him as master, and those who affix by him,
101. And when We swap one verse with another verse, and God knows well what He descended, they say: “that so, you are a fabricator”, nay, most of them know not,
102. Say: “descended it the Holy Spirit, from your Lord, by the Law, to affirm those who believed, and guidance and glad tidings to the surrenderers/Muslims”,
[The allusions to Christianity, from 97 to 102, are obvious to those who have not taken Satan and Iblis as their masters.
Christianity is none but the continuation of Judaism, Islam is none but the continuation of Christianity, Druzism is none but the continuation of Islam … except for those who love difference and self-preference.
When knowledge is not the purpose of life: argumentation, competition and war … become it,
It is too easy for a person on the way of Tawheed (Union) to remark the Essence and to dismiss the verbosity of warring religions …
The amazing thing: despite opening those Books: some are still arguing. They prefer the gods of war over the administration of the creation …
They are like tribes of monkeys, given bagsful of gem stones, they couldn’t notice, until they had a fight, and the gem stones are used to throw at one another …
Their self-proclaimed salvation and their judgement of damnation is testimony of having completely lost their human spirit.]

103. And We do know, that they say that “indeed a human teaches him, the tongue of the one towards whom they lean is foreign, while this is a tongue Arabic clearly”,
[Yes, the Holy Spirit is a human, Gabriel the messenger, to whom the Books are inspired, and it is he who gives them to the prophets,
Gabriel came as Salman the Persian. This is a fact that I cannot prove, but perhaps archeological evidence will be made available, and in any case, as this very Book has declared it: we have not a proof and neither do you, so let’s not argue, and God judges between the people. In the meantime, it’s everyone’s duty to do good, to cooperate and help one another to face the challenges of an ever changing world, to alleviate the suffering, to bring peace, prosperity and knowledge to everyone … : other than this: any activity is a waste of time.]

104. Those who believe not in God’s Paragons, God guides them not, and for them is painful suffering,
[Because guidance is believing in the Truth of the world: that it is not created at the whim of a god or by aimless randomness. If no Truth is known: guidance isn’t effective.]

105. That so, those who fret lies are those who believe not in God’s Paragons, those are the liars,
106. Whoever distances from God after having had faith, except if coerced while their hearts content in faith, but whoever opens comfort in disbelief [to oneself or others]: upon them is wrath from God, and for them is great suffering,
107. That because they favoured the low lives over the hereafter, and God guides not disbelieving people,
108. Those are them, on whose hearts, hearing and vision: God has printed, those are the dormant ones,
109. Undoubtedly, they are in the hereafter themselves the losers,
110. Moreover, your Lord is for those who forsook [the distractions of a low life] after having been deluded, then they strove and forbore, indeed your Lord is Forgiving Compassionate,
111. The day when every self comes arguing/defending herself, and every self is redeemed by what she did, and they are not wronged,
112. And God draws a model, a country was secure [and] content, its providence was coming lavishly from everywhere, so it disbelieved God’s providence, so God made it experience the dress of starvation and fear, by what they were doing,
[When people believe they are the makers, they’ve missed the Law that rules everything,
When people develop technologies: many of them tend to believe that the physical laws that they’ve discovered and mastered are their own property, and subjects of their beliefs. This blinds them from looking in the many directions, and many sciences are facing an illusionary dead end today.]

113. And a messenger did come to them from within them, they falsified him, so suffering took them, they are darkened,
114. So, do eat from what God provided you, legitimate and good, and be grateful of God’s providence, if you were in Him abiders,
115. That so, forbade He to you: the death, the blood and the flesh of the pig, and what is initiated not to God, whoever is compelled [while being] unmutinous untrasgressive, God is Forgiving Compassionate,
[If Muslims and Jews take such verses as a nutritional guide, they will never progress intellectually or ethically,
In the belief that so long as their diet is kosher or halal: they should be fine,
The verse is clearly saying that people be not too involved in earthly desires, as the human spirit abandons them if they did, and they become spiritless biological beings.]

116. And say not about what your tongues describe: this is halal and this is haram, to fabricate lies about God, those who fabricate lies about God do not achieve,
[Indeed, the industry of issuing fatwas of halal and haram in the Muslim world today, the Sunni and the Shia: is thriving. And I can imagine a similar situation in the Jewish and the Druzic worlds,
The minds of people are thus being reduced, and the strive to learn and refine one’s character is considered deviation in such a frame of lack of mind, and fallacies become popular, while rational thought is an unwanted thing.]

117. A little leisure, and for them is painful suffering,

118. And to those who became Jewish: We prohibited what We narrated to you from before, and We wronged them not, but they were themselves wronging,
[And this is happening again now to the Druze, the Muslims and the Christians.
The prohibition of knowledge is the consequence of rejection, and no one is wronged …
Religions are thus one set of commands and rituals followed by another, each prohibiting true knowledge, and its predecessor.]

 

119. Then, indeed, your Lord is to those who did ill out of ignorance, then they repented after this and reformed, your Lord after it is indeed Forgiving Compassionate,
120. That Abraham was a nation [people], contemplative, in God veering, and was not of the affixers,
121. Grateful to His Providence, He brought him near and guided him to a straight path,
122. And We gave him good in the low life and in the hereafter he is of the righteous ones,
123. Then We inspired to you that: follow Abraham’s sect veeringly, and what became of the affixers,
[We have said on this Circle a few times that “
حنيف" means bending and swerving …
If Qur’anic interpreters want to say that it means “straight”: their shariah becomes a generator of animosity and war between them …
That is because: there are an infinite number of bending ways …
If you set yourself on one of them, believing that it is straight: another group will set themselves on another, believing it is straight …
And there is one and only one straight path.
The verse is saying to the messenger to stay away from all the sects which call themselves Abrahamic, as they have all turned into affixers …
Of course, Abrahamic religions will dispute this …
In the meantime: if they are truly believers and “monotheists”: they should be able to sort out their problems, without the destruction and the bloodshed, and without the expectation of supernatural intervention which each party say will take their side.]

124. That so, the Sabbath was enforced upon those who differed about it, and it is your Lord who judges between them the day of the Up-rise about what they were differing,
[Indeed, all ritualistic practices are enforced upon the people who have missed the essences of activity, be it ritualistic or practical …
And rituals are immediately subjected to difference …: as is the case in the different Christian churches and in the different sects of Islam …
Because when the Essence of anything is unknown: its many physical manifestations become the only knowable thing …
This is indeed the “
حنيف" (crooked) way to understanding any religion.]

125. Call to the Way of your Lord by the Philosophy/Hikmah and the good counsel, and debate them by what’s better [in reason and manner], your Lord is Better Knower of who lost His Way, and Better Knower of the guided ones,
126. And if you follow up, follow up similarly to what you were followed up with, and if you be patient it is good for the patient ones,
[Again, the word “
عاقب" doesn’t only mean to punish. It means to follow up, as its root “عقب" clearly points …
Out of the many meanings and usages of Qur’anic words, Islamic interpreters have taken the ones which pour fuel on the fire of their grudges and widens their religious and national divisions …, and in many cases those usages and meanings were fabricated,
It is haram (illegitimate) to dispute their interpretations to say that the animosity between religions and Islamic sects have to end … according to their understanding,
Every sect of every Abrahamic religion have already judged who is good and who is bad, and have embarked on “punishing” everyone who is not one of them …
The verse is saying essentially: persist on trying to guide them and be patient, and remember how stubborn and heedless you were yourselves before you were guided, but the patience of those who guided you has finally paid off …]

127. Be patient, your patience is only in God, be not saddened about them, and be not tense about what they plot,
128. God is with those who took refuge [in Him], those who are radiant
