Surah 17

The Travel

1. Transcends He, Who made His servant travel at night, from the forbidden place of bowing to the far place of bowing, which We blessed around it, so We show him from Our Paragons, it is He The Hearer The Knower,
[Islamic scholars and commentators have recognised, only recently, that the Masjid Aqsa was not built yet when the Qur’an was descended,
But to say that god knew in advance, can be answered by saying: it is the name of it that was chosen for the prior knowledge to be argued,
From COB’s perspective, none of the forbidden house or the Masjid Aqsa are the subjects of this verse,
But indeed, the rituals of circulating and bowing around the totem that was before the Cube, which had been there for many centuries …: that is the subject,
The Qur’an was aiming at banning this practice altogether, by telling the people that bowing to the Creator of the Worlds can be done anywhere … however far from the forbidden house, or “around it”,
This is the “travel” that the prophet had to make himself in order to convince his people,
As for the “night”, this is symbolic of the long age of darkness and ignorance that had daunted humanity for a few millennia, as the following verses will hint …]

2. And We gave Moses the Book, and We made it guidance for the people of Israel, that take not a patron below Me,
[The mention of Moses immediately after the allusion to Muhammad is not randomly appearing, and the sequence of the verses and the subjects which they raise is never random or chosen capriciously by an arbitrary god …
COB has argued that Mohammad is an incarnation of Moses. This cannot be proven now, and no one should feel forced to accept it …
Time will uncover a lot of hidden facts, and the names of the prophets and messengers across the ages should become known in a not too far future.]

3. The descendants of the ones We carried with Noah, indeed he was a thankful servant,
[Again the citation of Noah is another allusion that the three names refer to the same soul,
COB has also argued that Noah, who built a ship and boarded it with a selection of people of different tribes … and fled an imminent natural disaster …: was also Moses, who was accompanied and helped by a messenger,
The ship docked on a land far from where it had left, after … the earth was resurrected …
Those were the ancestors of whom you call the Semitic people, who spoke then the original Semitic language: the mother of Hebrew, Aramaic, Arabic, Assyrian … in all their branches and dialects …
In previous posts, COB also argued that those were not the only humans on earth during the centuries which followed, as there were also migrations from Earth Interior, from various entrances to it which are scattered across the globe,
And that there were also tribal people in various continents, whom we call today the indigenous people …
Incredibly enough, there were also people who had come from a planet from our closest galactical neighbour Andromeda, COB feels. Those settled in the Far East mainly …
This mix of human geneses has created this amazing mix of mindsets and modes of consciousness …
Interesting and colourful: it is also challenging: in that, only the individuals who can transcend the difference, in order to recognise the one Essence: are the ones who can progress to a higher and nobler existence]

4. And We judged to the people of Israel in the Book, you’ll despoil/be despoiled in the earth twice, and you’ll ascend a great ascent,
5. So, if the promise of the first one has come, We send upon you servants of Ours, of a strong resolve, they spread through the homes, and [thus] it has been an accomplished promise,
[Those two verses can be taken in a number of directions …
The mainstream Islamic interpretation of them assumes that Israel is synonymous with Hebrew or Jewish. If so, the prophecy has already materialised in the events of the last century, when the Hebrew people became powerful in Europe then became subjects of the disastrous events of WWII and the Holocaust,
But from COB’s perspective, the people of Israel as mentioned in the Qur’an are the Hebrew people of the Levant, and including the scattered Hebrew tribes which were named Quraysh … who were settled in now Arabia …
Those verses are addressed to both groups, who have the same ancestry and, after the Qur’an: still the same prophet …
The only divide between them then and now is the language. Arabic, however, was none but a dialect of ancient Hebrew, which is now a dead language …

And I take this opportunity to comment on the subject of the Arabic language, which many Muslims believe it to be god’s language …
All languages are projections of the Word of God …
They cannot be anything else …
The belief that only one language is god’s: suggests that other languages have come from another source …!
And let's not forget that to every nation a prophet or messenger was sent to guide them in their own language, as the Qur'an stated a few times ...

It is a "miracle" that the eloquence and the multifacetedness of the vocabulary and the expressions of Arabic … have shaped it to be a language close to what one might call the “original language”,
In a desert, harsh in climate and lacking of natural beauty … language perhaps becomes the major form of expression.

Verses 4 and 5, in COB’s reading, are a prophecy about the Arabs, who became a great nation, and were then vanquished at the hands of different invaders at various points in the last centuries …

Prophecies as delivered by messengers at various points in time cannot be taken in any degree of accuracy … and destiny is not predetermined …
Hence the fluidity and vagueness of the expression of prophecies and visions …
They should be taken as warnings of potential events, rather than a certainty,
Certainty is only in the essence of every eventuality; the former is the cause of the latter.]

6. Then We returned for you the round over them, and We supplied you with money and offspring, and We made you more populous,
7. If you be good you be good for yourselves, and if you be bad it’s for them [for yourselves], so when the promise of the hereafter is due [it is for them] to badden your faces and to enter the place of bowing like they entered it the first time, and to break what they ascended apart completely,
[As the pronouns of 7 seem to sway between the subject and the object: vagueness dominates this prophecy … and this is only confirmation that eventuality is subject to choice of belief and perspective.
In any case, no winners or losers seem to be declared in this verse, as one party have their faces “baddened”, and the other are “broken apart completely” …
If this is to be taken as an allusion to the fight over Jerusalem and the Masjid Aqsa: both parties need to take a good look at their beliefs, in which both have affixed places and stones to abiding by God: the Creator of Time and the Universes …
All is His, His Chair has encompassed the heavens and the earth … may they both be guided,
Jerusalem is the Capital of humanity, not the capital of any political or religious entity. A memorial will be built for every good prophet and messenger in it, to remind the people of their Word and their good deeds,
When Abrahamic religions have come back to their senses, and have abandoned all pagan practices and have ended all their wars, Jerusalem will once again radiate peace and equanimity for all, after the millennia of darkness.]

8. May God mercify you, and if you returned We return, and We make the low world a confinement for the disbelievers,
[You all have to return to God, Jews, Christians, Muslims, Druze and Bahai, not to the stones, and nor to the people that you have appointed as His representatives,
I say this so your clergymen don’t say to you: return to us,
Their time is over, you’ve followed them and they brought to where they promised: war, pain and destruction, to quench their gods’ thirst for blood, and appease them with the sight of destruction.]

9. That this Qur’an guides to what is straighter and delivers glad tidings to the believers who do good, that to them is a great reward,
10. And that those who believe not in the hereafter, We have arranged for them painful suffering,
11. Mankind invokes evil similarly to invoking good, mankind has been hasty,
12. And We made the night and the day two examples, so We erased the example of the night and We made the example of the day for vision, so you may pursue elevation from your Lord and so you may learn the numeration of the years and the calculus, and We detailed everything in detail,
[Knowledge follows ignorance, vision follows obscurity …
This is the ongoing cycle of existence in a physical world …
Tiring and arduous, but also enjoyable, for those who want to travel it …
The nations which have pursued knowledge have gone by this verse better than the Muslims, who still want to witness the new crescent with a naked eye, and then argue about it …
So long as the world is believed to be the making of their gods: Abrahamic religions will never pursue any knowledge of any kind,
Their pride in their religion and their rituals suffice them …
Those have been left behind, for clever nations to use them as a market for their weapons and other merchandise … ]

13. And to every human We have tied up his flyer/soul to his neck, and We bring out on the day of the Up-rise a book that he finds wide open,
[Although the soul being tied up to the neck is figurative, it is so experienced by people who have advanced in transcendental meditation … when they are close to untying it.]

14. Read your book, your own self suffices as a judge over you today,
15. Whoever is guided is guided [only] for themselves, and whoever is misguided, that so: they are misguided over them [themselves]; no burdened soul is burdened by the burden of another, and We were not to make the people suffer until We send/in order to send a messenger,
[The justice that monotheist religions have conceived assumes that god will not judge the people who were born prior to sending his messenger … by the same measure of justice, as the ones after!
Thus the millions who were born before the message might walk free out of their errors and deeds …
Justice is thus justice only because it is administered by god, who is assumed to be faultless, even if he appears faulty to humans …
While surrendering to the Creator is a good thing: surrendering to irrational assumptions can never be a good thing,
The Creator has endowed people with thinking minds, in order to distinguish, question and learn …
In such mindfulness the surrender to the Will of the Creator is a good thing: because He is the only source of reason, justice and compassion …
The gods of Abrahamic religions are despotic and draconian, and questioning them, via their religious authorities and representatives, is unlawful …
People who adopt such beliefs surrender to their gods and live in constant fear of their capriciousness and untrustworthiness,
COB reads many layers of meanings in this last verse, which has featured a few times in the Qur’an and in the Hikmah,
It is only meant to affirm in the minds of the people of faith: the Source of Justice and all the justice or injustice, as practised by the people of no sense of justice,
COB finds that the peoples of the Middle East have been destined to be ruled by despotic rulers only because of their ill-conceived sense of justice. Such rulers, believed to be god or representatives of god, have driven them from one hell to another, from the Umayyad, Abbasid and Fatimid empires, to the Ottoman one, all the way to the recent Islamic Shia and Sunni ones and the so-called secular rulers … and all the way to the wannabe religious and nationalist parties of all colours and variations.]

16. And if We want to vanquish a country, We command its affluent ones, they aberrate it, so the say is due upon them, and We destroy it destructively,
17. How many a country/civilisation have We vanquished after Noah? your Lord suffices; in the sins of His servants [is He] the Expert the Seer,
18. Who want the immediate one We quicken for them what We will for whom We will, then We make for them a low world, that they sojourn belittled and quashed,
19. And who want the hereafter and strive for it strivingly, while believing, those, their strive is appreciated,
20. Everyone We supply, these and those, with the giving of your Lord, and your Lord’s giving is never barred,
21. Look how We elevated some of them over some, and in the hereafter there are bigger ranks and bigger elevation,
22. Make not with God another god, or you’ll sit belittled and humiliated,
[A very fine line is being walked in those verses …
How else can it be expressed … ?
If you know a natural law, in the context of religion or secular knowledge or whatever else …, and you use it: it works for you …
If you believe that a god makes it work it will work, and if you believe that it is your skill it will also work …
If at the end you don’t acknowledge the Law that is over all … all your experience is lost, and no lesson has been learnt, and back in ignorance you dwell again.]

23. Has commanded your Lord, that you shall abide in no one but Him, and [be] radiant/good with the Parents, that when they attain grandeur/old age at your household, one of them or both of them, say not duh to them, patronise not them, say to them an honourable say,
24. Lower the wing of subservience in compassion to them, say: “Lord, mercify them as they brought me up [when I was] little”,
25. Your Lord is Better Knower of what’s in your selves, if you be righteous, is He to the returning ones Forgiving,
[Just a confirmation of what came in the Ten Commandments …
Why the relationship between parent and child is so important is a matter for everyone to contemplate and ponder …
And when many find themselves at odds with one or both their parents: the best avenue to take is to be forgiving and understanding. They were once children and have had their share of discord with their own parents …
COB argues that it all goes back to early cycles of existence, when Adam and Eve were the Parents …
They radiated love and compassion to all the creation …
And as the cycles of creation went one after the other, our biological existence is still a projection of such essences, and the child still regards his parents as the Parents, being Adam and Eve …
Therefore, even if the circumstances have driven one to dislike one or both of them: an effort must be attempted to reconcile and rebuild those innate bridges …. Otherwise pain and suffering can go on for a life-time and even to the next one, to both the parent and the child.]

26. Give the one of nearness his right, and the poor and the children of the Way, be not extravagant extravagantly,
27. That the extravagant ones are the brethren of Satan, and Satan was to his Lord distancing,
28. And that when you avoid them [the extravagant ones], seeking compassion from your lord that you beg for, say to them a useful say,
29. And make not your hand shackled to your neck, and extend it not all the extension so you sit copping blame and pity,
30. That your Lord extends provision to whomever He will, and measures He [we read “
يقدّر"], indeed, is He in His abiders in Him Expert Seer,
[I find the word “extravagant” fitting the essence of those verses perfectly …
The verses are not only pointing to a midway between parsimony and wastefulness … but indeed about the desire to build up and spread one’s material power … as far as one can, until one can wield enough of it, to influence politics and individual government officials …
The root “
بذر” points to spreading one’s seeds … hence the metaphor,
The feudal system of Europe in the past caused so much poverty and injustice …
And in the Middle East the dynasties which rule are still in control …
And although the modern capitalist system allows everyone to become wealthy … it has given greed the right to grow over the welfare of nations and indeed the world,
Western nations’ economies are now being crushed under the clashing interests of wealthy individuals and corporations …
They control political decisions or in the best case influence them significantly …
The Ghita has demonised “greed”, the Gospel the “wealthy”,
The Ten Commandments and the Qur’an haven’t tackled those issues explicitly … but they warned strongly about the evil of materialism, herein and in “thou shalt not covet”, if both were understood correctly.]

31. And kill not your children in fear of destitution, We provide them and you, indeed killing them is a great sin,
32. And approach not adultery, it’s an obscenity and a bad way,
33. And kill not the self that God forbade except by the Law; who is killed wrongly: We have made authority for his master, so he exceeds not the killing, that he is victorious,
[The law of vendetta as such is applicable only in tribal societies …
If Muslims prefer to stick to it, a modern government’s authority is reduced to dealing with the matters which have not been covered by the Sharia,
Because the Sharia's scope is limited by the circumstances in which the Sharia was conceived, and those are separated by one thousand years from today’s circumstances …!
Thus a dichotomy between modern civil laws and Sharia exists … and cannot be overcome by the Shariah, for the simple reasons stated ...
Muslims of all branches have yet to acknowledge this. It takes education and intellectual development, not to mention ethical and spiritual development: to break out of mental confinements …
Such a journey is indeed faith ...

As those verses and many others point to essences … of justice and cooperation between people, in order for them to be able to live justly and harmoniously in complex societies: those essences have been reduced by shariah advocates to simple actions of beheading, stoning, amputation and the like …
The blatant barbarity of Islamic nations of all colours can’t be blamed on foreign conspiracies.]

34. And approach not the money of an orphan, except by what’s better, until he reaches adulthood, honour the covenant, the covenant is indeed a responsibility/questioned [matter],
35. And honour the scale when you scale, and weigh by the straight balance, this is good and a better reference,
[This doesn’t concern trade only, but indeed every assessment one has to make … most importantly today: when people volunteer judgement on one another, to label one another as good or bad …]

36. And second not what you know not; hearing, vision and heart are all a responsibility,
[The evil of spreading and supporting theories and ideas without questioning or verifying their validity, but only because one subscribes to their sources ideologically and is attached to them emotionally: can never be overestimated,
The mass-hallucination thus produced might have catastrophic results on individuals and nations …
The total anarchy that rules the Middle East now, and that is gradually spreading to the rest of the Western world: has been the direct result of the manipulative and vindictive announcements of entities and individuals, who use people’s gullibility and readiness to spread rumours and false news quickly …

Why these essences have escaped Islamic scholars is not a mystery at all. You can only see something if it has a preliminary existence in your own mind,
The teaching thus is a reminder … as has been said many times in this Book,
So, does this confirm the Druze belief in the restriction or the banning of the dissemination of knowledge?
Of course not. Because those in whose power is the decision as to who is and who is not entitled to knowledge: seem to be of a limited understanding … of anything …
They have rejected this Book on the basis that it has been superseded by the Hikmah, unnoticing the essences which are eternally in the human mind: hence in all the Books …
And they are still waiting for the “commandments” to be delivered to them …: rejecting, by so doing: “The Commandments” which can never be worded for all times and nations …!
Their definition of Tawheed is as fallacious as other religions’, and is irreparably incoherent as an intellectual concept,
Intellectually and ethically they stand on the same platform of all religions now, and their only hope is the divine care, but this will not happen, as they have wished, to their exclusive favour.

Knowledge is sought only by those who are ready for it …
The experiment of religions has not worked, if it has in the past: it was within the limit of its cultural and spatiotemporal existence …]

37. And walk not reveling, you shall not pierce the earth, and nor will you reach the heights of the mountains,
[The wisdom aside, the humour is quite obvious …]

38. All this is bad in your Lord and detestable,
39. This is what your Lord inspired to you of wisdom, make not another god with God, [or] you’ll be thrown in the low world convicted and quashed,

40. Has your Lord privileged you with the sons and taken the angels as females? Indeed you are saying a big say,
41. And We have articulated in this Qur’an for them to remember, and it has increased them only in rejection,
[The beliefs around what god has in store, of females and angels and so forth … are as many as religions and branches thereof … across the thousands of years gone by,
Unaware that the virgins who line up waiting for the dead in battle are as fictitious: the Muslims believe they have surpassed the pagan beliefs mentioned in the Qur’an,
All it takes is to change the language … a tiny bit, and to re-present it: and they’ll hurl themselves in the pitfalls once again, too quickly …]

42. Say: “if he/He had gods as the say, hence they would aim for a Way to the One of the Throne”,
[Hence this Circle has been saying since it was launched, that if you followed the Word that has been delivered by the demigods that you like: you would’ve rendezvoused at His Door Steps, and recognised one another …
But you actually followed the demigods …]

43. Transcends He, High is He above what they say in a Great Height,
44. Transcend in Him the seven heavens and the earth and who are in them, nothing is but chanting in His Emanation, but you comprehend not their mantras, is He ever Caring Forgiving,
[The word “
حمد" which has been understood to mean "thankfulness” has in our opinion a much wider essence,
It points to … the … wholeness of … everything,
This does encompass a sense of thankfulness, but should not be limited to it.
Also the word "
سبح". Literally meaning "to swim", it points to transcendence in the Okeanos of Existence. This can be associated with musical sounds and the chanting of mantras, clearly audible to the transcending ones.]

45. And when you read the Qur’an: We make between you and those who believe not in the last day: a veil covering,
46. And We make lids on their hearts that they [don’t] comprehend it, and in their ears a block, and when you remember your Lord in the Qur’an Solitarily: they turn away backward in rejection,
47. We are More Informed about what they hear by it when they listen to you, and here they are invocational [to their masters], as the darkened ones say: “you follow no one but an enchanted man”,
[The mention of The Creator is inaudible to the people of all sects and religions, unless you mention their masters and their prophets … and use specific expressions and mention the names of their tribes, languages and nations …
The Creator of the worlds thus exists not in their perspective, what exists is their affixes …
Many a time have they passed by His Pronoun in this Book, blinded to Its Lightening, deafened to Its Thunder ...]

48. Look how they give you examples, so they are lost, incapable of a Way,

49. And they say: “so if we became bones and ash then we will be remitted as a new creation?”,
50. Say: “be stones or steel,
51. “Or a creation like what grows in your chests”; they will say: “who will return us?”, say: ”who illustrated you the first time”, they will turn their heads away and say: “when is this?”, say: “perhaps it is near”,
52. The day He calls you, and you respond in His Emanation, and you think you’ve only stayed [in the world] shortly,
[The truth of reincarnation is hard to digest for many people …
And to others, it is a reality that nothing can remove from their repository of self-knowledge …
Either way, it is all the result of many cycles of lives in this world. People’s beliefs become them … in physical bodies …
Abrahamic religions’ belief in the soul being entrapped in the grave after death: is reflective of their total denial of the spirit,
Hence the supernatural spirit that they all believe:
Ghosts, demons, angels, the spirits of the dead hanging around graves … are all illusions created by the lack of spirit …
The world of the supernatural spirit of Abrahamic religions is frightening, lawless and aimless …
Had they recognised the Holy Spirit: as all the Books have pointed them, including this very one: they would’ve realised that bones and ashes bear not truth,
And neither do fancy genes and holy origins, or steel and rocks …
But it will happen like it happened at the end of previous cycles of life: that the apex of your head is blown into, and the window to your existential memory is wide open, and your "I’s" are confused, and the people around you who were once friends are now enemies, and the ones who were enemies are now friends …]

53. And tell my abiders in Me to say what is best, indeed Satan causes dissention between them, Satan has been for mankind a divisive enemy,
[I can’t understand, how Muslims read this, then dare to stand on the podium in a mosque to preach hatred and war …
Or how can Christian or Jewish preachers entertain self-righteousness and exclusion … upon reading their Books,
They will all be questioned, by the people who have suffered as a result of their divisive beliefs … and by their Lord, if they truly believe.]

54. Your Lord knows you best, if He will He mercifies you, and if He will He makes you suffer, we have sent you not as a sponsor of them,
55. And your Lord is Better Informed about who is in the heavens and the earth, and We have elevated some prophets over others and We’ve given the Oracles to David,
[Far from being an arbitrary decision by the Author, the singling out of David points to his high station as a messenger who descends Books and points civilisations in a righteous direction.]

56. Say: “invoke those you’ve professed below Him/him, they govern not the removal of the ill off you, nor diverting [it]”,
57. Those that they invoke: [they] ask their Lord for the means, who is closer? They beg His Compassion and fear His suffering, that your Lord’s suffering is indeed alerted [to],
[The Book of The Cause of All The Causes of the Hikmah explains in some detail how Gabriel the Hermes of all the Hermii appoints prophets, elevates them and strips them of their responsibilities if they abuse their authority and powers …
And this Circle has distinguished between messengers and prophets, although messengers can also be called prophets, such as prophet Joseph, Job, Isaiah and so on …
The first group being the incarnations of the Dimensions, often mentioned in the Qur’an and the Hikmah as Hudood, but more frequently in the Qur’an as “
آيات”, "أرحام" and "أنعام" that we’ve translated to paragons, compassionate ones and bounties …
In any case, they are human, they eat food and walk the market, as this Book has clarified …
They are not supernatural beings, they don’t come to the world flying with their wings or on a Pegasus.

None of the messengers and prophets are infallible people. Infallibleness is a religious belief …
But they teach truth …
People of religions have yet to understand that no action on earth can be said to be perfect, and every action is marred by error, as the Ghita states clearly and truthfully …
So if you say: how can we follow someone if they are fallible?
The answer is: you don’t have to copy them, you only have to ponder and learn what they teach …
And it is often the case that an action that you find perfect can be erroneous, and it is often the case that an action that you find erroneous is actually virtuous … but you don’t know all the aspects of it.

While it is everyone's right to criticise their actions, it's their Lord who judges them,
Action has to be carried out selflessly for it to be free of error, and it is only The Judge of all the Judges who is Truly Informed about the selflessness of any action.

The second group being the people of the low world who earnestly desire to guide their people. If they are chosen to carry this enormous responsibility, they are guided and given the necessary books and teaching that are inspired to the messengers ...

The charlatans are also many, they are the clever and resourceful who understand a bit, they dazzle the people with the little knowledge and a lot of wizardry, they have big egos, they want to be followed and worshipped ...
It's on the people not to fall in their traps or be attached to them.]

58. There’s no country but We’ve destroyed before the day of the Up-rise, or made to suffer a severe suffering, this has been in the Book scripted,
59. And nothing prevented Us from sending the Paragons except that the early ones disbelieved them, and We gave the She-Camel/Cassiopeia Constellation to Thamud, but they darkened it, and We send the Paragons/verses only to frighten,
60. And when We say to you [addressing the messenger] that your Lord surrounds the people, and We made not the vision that We show you except as a dazzlement to the people, and the cursed tree in the Qur’an, We frighten them, but it increases them only in tyranny largely,
[The mention of the she-camel in this instance refers to a star constellation …
Astronomers have to find out where it appeared in the skies … over six thousand years ago …
But this is also subject to the earth’s axis’ orientation, which might have tilted since the days of Thamud,
The name Thamud, after a deified queen, in COB’s view refers to the civilisation which was in the cycle immediately preceding the current one, whose ruins are now found in the megalithic structures of Palmyra and Petra,
The She-Camel was perhaps beaming subatomic waves - which are perceived by human consciousness as musical notes, or directing them to earth … waves which open windows of vision, hearing … in human consciousness,
Although COB can’t provide at this point evidence to such explanations, COB stands by the scriptures of its visions …, three of which have so far been proven to be true, and references have been provided on this Page,
If this can’t be proven scientifically now, on other planets or here on earth: it will be in a far future time, if humanity manages to avoid a total destruction, forcing it back to square one, to learn to talk, walk and eat all over again …]

61. And when We said to the angels “bow to Adam”, they bowed except Iblis, said he “bow I to whom You created of clay?”,
62. Said he: “do you see this one whom You honoured above me? If you deferred me to the day of the Up-rise, I shall train his descendants in sophistry, except a few”,
63. Said He: “go, whoever follow you of them: the low world is your consequence abundantly,
64. “Talk over whomever you can of them by the sound of your voice, and advance over them with your horses and cavalry, and share their money and offspring with them, and do promise them, Satan promises them none but illusions,
65. “The abiders in Me: you have not authority over them, your Lord suffices as a Sponsor”,
66. Your Lord is He Who installs for you the planets’ orbits in the ocean/heaven, for you to want His elevation, He is by you All Compassionate,
67. And if harm touches you in the ocean: those whom you invoke excepting Him are lost, so when he rescued you to the land you turned away, mankind is indeed distanced,
68. Are you assured that He won’t sink the land with you, or send wind so you find for you no sponsor?
69. Or are you assured that He won’t return you in it another round, to send a gust of wind, so you sink in what you’ve distanced, and you find not for yourselves in it a tracker to Us?
[The might of nature is not the work of a capricious god, as monotheists want to believe. And nor is it random events …
It is still a long way before people start to fathom the relationship between cosmic manifestation and the human in it …
In the meantime: a modest approach and an open mind is the best track to follow.]

70. And We have honoured the children of Adam, We carried them in the land and in the ocean, and We provided them with good, and We elevated them over a lot of what We created in a major elevation,
71. The Day We call every people by their nations/heads, those who are given their book by their right hand/alpha: those read their book and aren’t wronged by one iota,
72. And those who were blind in this one are blind in the other one, and are off the Way even further,

73. If they could, they would lure you off what We inspired to you, so you might fabricate else about Us, hence they would take you as an intimate [to god],
[This in fact has been the destiny of all Abrahamic religions. Not that the people were able to lure their messenger into their false aims and causes, but the message was reduced to their aims and causes, by their own making … and their prophet became their god’s favourite prophet, and they attached their names to one another, one way or another.]

74. If We hadn’t affirmed you, you were just about finding comfort in them a little,
75. Hence We would’ve made you experience the weakness of life and the weakness [we read “
ضَعف”] of death, then you would find for yourself no supporter over Us,
76. And if they could, they would provoke you to drive you out of the earth, hence they would sojourn behind you [we read “
خلفك”] only little,
77. [This is] the law of the ones We sent before you of Our messengers, you’ll find to Our law no alteration,
[The destiny of messengers is never easy in the low world, where the guardians of hell are on the lookout for unwanted radiant people, coming to them to brighten up their lives and pour down the many aspects of virtue into their world,
The age of the world cannot be counted in numbers of earth years or eons …
The world does not have a standard form … and what we all perceive in it today is just one model … in past cycles, the universe had a totally different model …
Upon rejecting guidance: the dwellers of hell self-destroy, and their life cycle ends abruptly, for a new one to begin thereafter, as this very Book declared it.]

78. Hold up the prayers of the sunset to the onset of night, and the Lectrum/Qur’an of the dawn is indeed witnessed,
79. And the night: meditate in it a while, perhaps your Lord sends you to an emanant station,
80. And say: “my Lord, usher me into an entrance to truth and bring me out to an exit of truth, and do make for me from Thine a victorious authority”,
[Far from being a ritual which a god demands for his own contentment, those hours of the day have an easier reach to the windows of heaven in one’s mind … and the word “
تهجّد" points to the station of consciousness above sleep and wakefulness … where the soul that is free from all mental, emotional and pagan affixes can enter the Okeanos of truth and come back … to be finally in a permanent meditation …
So I can’t but wonder why those who have classified themselves exclusively as Muahhedeen (people of Union) haven’t noticed those grand declarations of Union …, they prefer to read nonsense in the Qur’an, in order to maintain their beliefs and self-classification.]

81. And say: “the Law has come and falsehood has been vanquished”, indeed falsehood is [made to be] vanquishable,
82. And We descend of the Lectrum what is healing, and in compassion to the believers, it increases the darkened ones in loss only,
83. And if We provide mankind, it declines and turns sideway, and if ill touched it, it becomes despairing,
84. Say: “everyone acts in accordance with one’s own nature, and your Lord is Better Informed about who is of a better guided way”,
85. And they ask you about the soul, say: “the soul is from my Lord’s Aim, and what you’ve been given of knowledge is only little”,
86. And if We will, We would go away with what We inspired to you, then you’ll find for you not a sponsor over Us by it,
87. Except Compassion from your Lord, indeed His Elevation has been Great upon you,
[A statement for the worshippers of the Qur’an to ponder, if they are capable of it. Those who make it equal with Absoluteness commit a grave error …
The verse is clearly saying that words can be made to go … and what remains is Compassion …
Many grand declarations have been completely missed by Qur’anic worshippers and haters alike …
This keeps the fires of their animosities alight, and keeps their clergy busy]

88. Say: “if the people and the gone people have teamed up together for the purpose of bringing a lectrum similar to this one, they will not bring a similar to it, and even if they backed up one another”,
89. We have articulated in this Lectrum of every model, but most people declined except from disbelieving,
90. And they said: “we won’t believe until you burst a spring of water from the earth for us,
91. “Or that a garden of palm trees and grape vines be yours, and you burst rivers, bursting through them,
92. “Or that you drop a slice of the sky on us as you claimed, or that you bring god and the angels face to face with us,
93. “Or that you have a house with decorations, or that you levitate to the sky, and we won’t be certain of your levitation until you bring down a book that we read, to us”, say: “transcends God my Lord, am I but a human messenger?”,
94. Say: “what has prevented the people from believing when guidance came to them except that they say: ‘has god sent a human messenger?’”,
95. Say: “if there were angels walking on the earth contently We would have descended unto them from the sky an angelic messenger”,
96. Say: “God suffices as a Witness between you and me, is He in His abiders in Him Knower Seer”,
[The philosophic reaches of those verses go right to the innermost kernel of human consciousness,
Expressed in the simple terms of the layman and addressing the scholar alike …
And they definitely came in every Discourse that has been delivered by messengers …
The fine line of the Midway is never easy to express …
Perhaps no Books expressed it in philosophic terms for the scholar better than the Books of the Hikmah, which have been read in English on our website …
The scene of what is believed to be a miracle to someone, may not be so for another …
And the scene of an object, animate or still, living or dead … can never be a pointer to Absoluteness …
How some perceive truth in one thing and not in another is subject to the nature of the perceiver, which is the outcome of many life experiences,
It is perhaps best expressed in this model:
The bean loves water, and absorbs it to become the fecundity of a beanstalk …
A piece of metal loves fire, it glows in it and becomes soft, to take a new form …
Neither does the bean love fire, which burns it or stifles the life in it,
And nor is the metal moved by water, but indeed some metals dislike the encroachment of rust in the presence of water …
Thus, in their own nature both live and die …
It is only the human mind that is capable of breaking out of nature, to prepare itself to witness The Truth of all manifestations, Books and expressions.]

97. Whom God guides is the guided one, and whom He misguides: you won’t find masters for them below Him, and We gather them the day of the Up-rise, over their faces: blind, dumb, deaf, their shelter is the low world, every time it smolders We increase its blaze,
98. This is their consequence, that they disbelieved our Paragons and said: “so, if we were bones and ashes are we remitted as a new creation?”,
99. Have they not seen that God Who created the heavens and the earth is Capable of creating a creation like them? and He made for them a term, unquestionably, but the darkened ones declined except from being distant,

100. Say: “if you possessed the vaults of my Lord’s Compassion you would hold on [to it] of fear of depletion”, mankind has been avaricious,

[As soon as the essence of this is thought to be about goods and services, or praise to the prophet … the mind is turned upside-down: to the natural law of exchange …

This is how the Grand Book has put the reader’s consciousness to the test …

When the same sentence has two layers of meanings … quite unrelated to one another.]

101. And We gave Moses nine clarifying verses, ask the people of Israel, when he came to them, the Pharaoh said to him: “I suspect you to be enchanted, Moses”,
102. Said he [Moses]: “you have known what those descended [the people of Israel] except the Lord of the heaven and the earth [we read “
ربَّ"], [as] manifestation, and I suspect you’ve gone astray, Pharaoh”,
103. So, he [the Pharaoh] wanted to provoke them out of the land, so We sank him with all with him altogether,
[The “nine” that Moses was given … could not have been nine things of magic …, as Islamic scholars have argued,
One of his tasks was to stop the Pharaoh from demonstrating his authority to his people with the help of his illusionists …
In the meeting which took place between Moses and the Pharaoh’s magicians: all the tricks were exposed and shown to be illusions …
It is very unfortunate that the people of Abrahamic religions still believe that Moses and Jesus were magicians …
Magic does not prove anything more than banalities do …
It is definitely a case of underdeveloped intellectual skills that prevent people from making a leap from magic to logic …
One way to prepare oneself for such a leap is to imagine oneself being thrown from a past time, when technology was not yet advanced: into today’s world, where light, pictures from the other side of the Globe, fire, cold air … can be materialised: by the press of a button …
If anyone has mental powers that are yet unknown, which enable them to manipulate physical objects without physical contact: they should offer themselves as subjects of scientific research …
Psychic powers will be studied scientifically in the future, and people who have them aren’t in any way holy …

Having said that, the question: what are the nine miracles/verses/signs … that Moses showed to the Pharaoh … still remains to be answered,
COB sees that they can be none but The Ten Commandments,
The number nine or eight were perhaps the numbers that some Jewish sects recognised in the past,
Those who know the history of the Jewish faith may be able to shed light on this issue …
Let’s not forget that the commandments are eight, with the eighth being repeated three times.]

104. And after him, We said to the people of Israel: “dwell in the land and when the promise of the hereafter has come We’ll bring you wound together”,
[This should give both Hebrew and Arabs pause for thought!]

105. By the Law We’ve descended it and by the Law it descended, and We’ve sent you only as a bringer of glad tidings and a warner,
106. And a Lectrum/Qur’an that We parted, so you may read it to the people upon [your] residence, We dropped it drop by drop,
107. Say: “[whether] you trust it or not trust: those who were given the knowledge before it: when it is recited to them: they collapse down to their beards in prostration,
108. “And they say: ‘transcends our Lord, indeed our Lord’s promise has been carried out’,
109. “They collapse down to their beards with eyes tearing, and it increases them in awe”,
110. Say: “call God or call Compassion, whomever you call it is to Him the Radiant Summa, make not an exhibit of your prayer, nor dim/hide it, follow a way between these”,
[But Abrahamic religions argue about the names they have chosen …
Hence, we say those names are now the names of their local gods …
The word “Allah” has featured in pre-Islamic poetry …
And let’s not forget that Muhammad himself is known as Muhammad bin abd Allah,
Christians in the Middle East do acknowledge the name Allah …
As for Ya Hu, this is not the god of the Hebrew people alone …
Ya Hu is a call of the Highest Order …
People were using it to back up their every say, like Muslims use the word Allah to back up their every say …
The Ten Commandments, and this very Book, have told all the people not to use the Radiant Summa in vain,
People who truly know do understand why.]

111. And say: “the Homage is to God who took not a son and had no partner in the Kingdom, and had no master of submission, and enlarge Him an Enlargement [in your vision]
