Surah 24
The Light
1. A Surah We descended and enforced, in it are lucid verses, may you remember,
2. The adulteress and the adulterer, lash each of them a hundred lashes, and be not taken by kindness to them in God’s religion, if you believe in God and the last day, and let a crowd of people witness their suffering,
3. The adulterer engages only with an adulteress or an affixer, and an adulteress is engaged only with an adulterer or an affixer, and this is forbidden to the believers,
4. And those who throw [accusations] at the fortressed women then they don’t bring four witnesses: lash them eighty lashes, and accept no more witness of theirs ever, those are the aberrant ones,
5. Except who repented after this and reformed, God is Forgiving Compassionate,
6. And those who throw [accusations] at their spouses and there were no witnesses for them except themselves, the witness of one of them is four swears by God that he is of the honest ones,
7. And the fifth [swear] is that God’s damnation is on him if he was of the liars,
8. And it deflects [we read “يدرءُ”] the suffering from her: that she swears four swears by God that he is of the liars,
9. And the fifth [swear]: that God’s wrath is on her if he was of the honest ones,
10. And if it wasn’t for God’s favour to you and His compassion … and God is Bestower of repentance, Compassionate,
[If any nation in the world, with an ancient history and traditions or a modern one: can claim to have got the perfect marital laws and traditions, governing marriage and sexual relations …, and that they have thus achieved a virtuous society: free from the emotional and physical suffering resulting from failing marriages and questionable sexual relations: put your hand up, and let the people make their own assessment …
So, to the Qur’anic worshippers and haters alike, I say: keep in mind that those verses were given nearly fifteen hundred years ago, to a people which had a very low standard of behaviour, as Surah 33 clearly portrays them.
Yet, if one reads with an analytical mind, and with the intent to avoid cultural and religious bias: the verses conclude by saying that in the end it is to God the judgement:
Each one of the given rulings is immediately overridden by another,
If a fair judge is to implement such laws: no one will ever be lashed or punished publicly, as is still the practice in some countries, proclaiming knowledge of Islamic shariah:
Firstly, the adulterer and adulteress are declared disbelievers, and the shariah should not be applicable on them …
Secondly, I doubt that the presence of four witnesses in every case is ever possible,
Thirdly, in the case of a married couple, the woman seems to have the power to override her husband’s accusations immediately,
Fourthly, there’s no mention of the case where the husband is caught by the wife and being accused by her!
A loophole which renders the whole system to be taken as mere guidelines and warnings, rather than a legislation,
The advocates of shariah will jump up quickly in defence of their one-and-a-half-millennium old law, to say that they have the Hadith of the prophet, the Imams and the Khalifs to back up their position:
All of which are not universally agreed upon by different sects and schools of thought of Islam,
Not only does this render the entire body of Hadith unreliable: but it also locks up the entire Islamic thought in a far past:
A far past which cannot be relived in the present.
Nations which go by whichever version of Islamic shariah: have only their self-praise and self-appreciation to pride themselves on,
I can assure them that no country in the world, however much suffering its marital and sexual relations are causing: would want to adopt and revive the law and traditions of a heathen people of a far past.]
11. Those who have come with the fraudulence are a league of you, “think it not bad for you, no, it is good for you”, for each one of them is what he earned of sin, and the one who assumed his headship of them: has he great suffering,
12. If it hadn’t been that you heard it: the believers would’ve thought good of themselves and said this is clearly fraudulence,
13. If only they came to him with four witnesses, so if they didn’t come with four witnesses, those, in God, are the liars,
14. And if it wasn’t for God’s elevation to you and His Compassion, in the low world and the hereafter: great suffering would’ve touched you about what you divulged,
15. As you relay it [we read “تُلقونه”] by your tongues and say from your mouths what you have no knowledge of, and you think it’s easy; it is in God big,
16. Had you [truly] heard it, you would’ve said; “how are we to talk about this, transcend Thou, this is a great confusion”,
17. God sermons you that you return [not] to a similar to it ever, if you were believers,
18. And distinguishes God the verses for you, God is Knower Sovereign,
19. Indeed, those who would like that obscenity proliferate among those who believe: have a painful suffering,
20. And if it wasn’t for God’s favour onto you and His Compassion … and indeed God is Kind Compassionate,
[The available exegeses have clearly missed the morals that are being taught, on top of providing inconsistent, hence inaccurate, versions of history,
It is obvious that a group of people, led by a well-known person, were spreading legislation allowing extramarital relations and claiming it to be halal,
A kind of practice that is not uncommon in all religions, when people claim to have knowledge of the law and start issuing legislation,
A great number of such persons throughout the history of Islam have taken shariah to a level where only vulgar comedy dares … coming up with halal rulings which a sane person with a minimum level of decency wouldn’t approach,
And this very Book has said it: don’t say this is halal and this is haram!
People are guided by their sense of decency that their Creator has bestowed on them by their trust in Him, as those verses have made it clear.
A twist in the story, however, being used as a model to draw on: is that the person who was legitimising or committing acts of obscenity wasn’t witnessed by four believing witnesses,
Hence, and despite the appalling nature of the claim: the believers were instructed not to go about spreading news that they have no knowledge of themselves except by hearsay,
The business of talking ill of people doesn’t help the cause of teaching virtue, but indeed to spread the ill …
Virtue cannot be taught by comparison to its opposite, but only by its Virtue,
It is not for nothing that it was said in the Gospel: judge not so you may not be judged,
Multiple layers of essence are in this timeless wisdom,
The moral of it is being repeated, nothing can cancel the teaching of Virtue,
What legislation people cancel or instate: it is for their political self-interest: while the heavens remain unmoved,
Abrahamic religions and sects, and without an exception, have been busy throwing stones on one another,
Those stones are now piling up obstacles in their own way: in the sense of complacency and self-righteousness: which obstruct their pursuit of knowledge and character refinement.]
21. O you who believe, follow not the footsteps of Satan, who follows the footsteps of Satan: he commands by obscenity and the abhorrible, and if it wasn’t for God’s elevation to you, and His Compassion: none of you would be cleansed by the One ever, but God cleanses whom He will, God is All Hearing Knowing,
22. And let not the wielders of wealth of you, and power, relent to provide to the ones of Nearness, the poor, and the forsakers on the Way of God, and that they forgive and pardon, would you not love God to forgive you? and God is Forgiving Compassionate,
23. That those who throw [accusations] at the fortressed female [blissfully] inattentive believers: damned are they, in the low life and the hereafter, and have they great suffering,
24. The day when their tongues give witness about them, also their hands and their legs: about what they were doing,
25. Thence, God redeems to them their religion: the Law, and they know that God is the Law Manifest,
26. The wicked females are for the wicked males, and the wicked males are for the wicked females, and the good-natured females are for the good-natured males, and the good-natured males are for the good-natured females, those are pronounced innocent about what they say, for them is forgiveness and an honourable providence,
[“Thou shalt not bear false witness about thy neighbour”,
This is being confirmed again, as it was confirmed in Surah 17,
Unfortunately, when the physical projection of those essences is thought to be law: shariah is bound to be born in different wordings and forms,
The ones of Nearness: are thought to be relatives and tribesmen, in Islam,
The neighbour is thought to be someone of your religion living close to you, in Judaism,
And you can imagine the many different definitions and variations of them that can emerge from such words, and hence the many schools of thought … each believing to be carrying out their god’s command better than their rivals …
But the one’s of Nearness, the poor, the forsakers on the Way of God … are all forgotten now, when religious frocks and institutes have assumed total heavenly representation and authority …
Those are wealthy, worry not about them,
If anything, they should be giving the fortunes that they have amassed back to the poor …
And what about the expression “fortressed women” …, which appears a few times in the Qur’an,
In the minds of Islamic scholars, those must be the women who wear hijab,
Again, the definition of hijab varies from one group to another …
So, if a woman is Muslim, but wears not hijab according to one’s understanding of hijab: then is it OK to spread rumours about her?
Worse still if she’s not Muslim …
In this case, she can be a target of rape as well, for being a woman of kuffar, and can hence be assumed to be a captive of war … for, there’s constantly a state of war between the Muslims and the kuffar …
Yes, crime happens in all nations, at all times …
But if it is believed to be condoned by a heavenly law: this is when everyone naturally starts to worry …
Muslim scholars of all colours and alliances: are fooling themselves if they carry on that a watered-down version of their shariah is the best law under the sun …
As a matter of fact, their different versions of shariah now are none but watered-down versions of their pre-Islamic traditions … and it is what got them to where they are …
A new version will not be any milder than its predecessors, but only for a short time …
As soon as the circumstances are right: those seeds of heathenry will germinate again, and back in the past Muslims will be cast again,
Muslims and Jews have to learn from each other’s experiences, instead of waging wars against one another …
That god is not a traffic police, and the heavens do not care how people dress, eat, wash …
They have been given thinking minds to work these things out to fit their circumstances best …
Most importantly, they have to learn that they are not the heaven’s representatives, and have no rights and privileges above others,
They have to accept the “elevation” that their Grand Books have given them …
“if it wasn’t for God’s elevation to you, and His Compassion: none of you would be cleansed by the One ever, but God cleanses whom He will”,
And they have to stop judging and punishing …
“that they forgive and pardon, would you not love God to forgive you?”]
27. O you who believe, enter not houses other than your own houses until you find people [in them] and you greet their residents, this is better for you, may you remember,
28. So, if you don’t find anyone do not enter them until you are permitted, and if it is said to you to go back do go back, this is purer for you, and God is Knower of what you do,
29. You are not in error if you entre unoccupied houses, in them is comfort for you, and God knows what you show and what you secret,
30. Say to the believers to turn their eyes and to protect their gaps, this purer for them, indeed God is Well-Informed of what they do,
31. And say to the female believers to turn their eyes and to guard their gaps, and not to show their adornments/beauty, except what is exposed of them, and to cast their veils over their chests, and not to show their adornments/beauty except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their fathers in-law, or their sons, or their husbands’ sons, or their brothers, or their fraternal nephews, or their sororal nephews, or their women, or their right-hands/souls won’t reign, or their castrated consort of men, or the children who have not [desire] to look women’s genitalia, and not to strike with their legs: so that what they conceal of their beauty is made known, and do repent all of you to God, O you who believe, may you achieve,
[Again, this is teaching basic civility to a people who obviously had little of it or none,
You’ll find such teaching in all cultures, and this is how human societies all around the world have managed to survive and thrive,
Few points, however, are noteworthy:
Firstly, the commandments do not distinguish between one’s own tribesmen’s houses, and one’s enemy’s, neither between peace and war times,
And as we’ve read Surah 8, revealing the essence that the Surah in its truth forbids looting: the consistency between the commandments in the two Surah’s becomes compelling,
But when the High Standard of behaviour in both Surah’s goes unnoticed: be not upset when we say that Islamic shariah in all its variations is none but a watered-down version of the pre-Islamic heathen law, the Qur’an is totally innocent from it,
Secondly, both men and women are commanded to “turn” their eyes,
Staring at strangers in public places, driven by lust or any other primitive motive, such as envy, intrusiveness, the desire to criticise and spread rumours ..., is a detestable practice, civilised societies shun it, as this verse points,
Thirdly, the gaps of men and women …:
If Abrahamic religions haven’t noticed them: it’s because they want to widen them … so they can enjoy a world free of restrictions!
The wider they become, the easier for objects of distraction to jump into them,
Not only objects of lust, but indeed all objects of passion, whether of want or hatred, which beg for a response and attention …
So that the road is tread, without diversions …
Thirdly, the word “زينة" doesn’t refer only to makeup and worn jewelry, but also to natural beauty, as it features twice, each time to point to something slightly different,
Hence two degrees of covering are obviously recommended: the first applies in the presence of complete strangers, the second being a relaxed code applicable among family, while the chest … is still covered,
The father in-law is considered family … but common sense says that this is only the case when the in-laws are sharing the house with the woman and her husband …
In any case, the strict dress code of Islamic societies hasn’t made them more virtuous and more civlised except in their own assessment,
Self-respect is not dictated solely by how much of one’s body is covered,
And this varies between cultures and in time,
Not to mention the task that is being performed,
If sports, for example, are more practicable when a great part of the body is revealed: then be it …
And if this provokes the lust of pious males: it is their problem,
Let them boil in a lust which they believe to be their religious right!
And again: what their right hands possess,
Islamic scholars have taken this as loophole …: to re-legitimise everything, and as if no laws have been given to them …
What are the limits of “what your right hands possess”? they’ll use all their rhetorical skills and sophistry, and their fudged versions of history: to tell us that there are no limits …
Hence the marriage for pleasure and sex for money … in whatever form their “scientists” and imams allow it …
Islamic societies are pure and holy only by their own definitions,
The wave of obsession with sex that has swept the world has not spared them, but indeed they are deeply drawn into it,
We’ve said it on the Page and will say it again: swimming in muddied water will muddy you, regardless of your style of swimming and the rules that you go by …
And let’s not forget the paradise of sex they all are racing to …
Sex is thus the ultimate purpose of life to pious Muslims …, whether they like this harsh summarisation or not …
However educated and informed …
They have got to understand that this is a major reason behind their underdevelopment: socially, politically, morally, spiritually …
If any Islamic group have adhered to the High Standard of social behaviour as commanded in the Qur’an: it has been the Druze, if they don’t object to being called Muslims,
In this sense they are the true Muslims who have gone by the commandments of self-respect, civility and elevation above heathen traditions …
This doesn’t mean that every individual of them has lived up to those standards,
But as a society: they have been closest to them,
Their major failure, however, is honour crimes,
This is a heathen tradition they are yet to grow out of, and be a model to the rest of the Middle East,
And this is not being said to get their support and sympathy,
This Page needs none of it, and is neither moved by anyone's derision and rejection.]
32. And make the unmarried of you and the righteous ones of the abiders with you, and your female servants: marry; if they are poor God enriches them from His giving, God is Vast, Knower,
33. And let them abstain: those of you who can’t find marriage, until God enriches them from his giving; and those who demand the Book which your right hands/souls have possessed/reigned: make them literate if you find good in them, and do give them of God’s Providence that He provided you, and do not force your young females to fornication if they want to be fortressed, desiring the dis-play/temptation of the low lives, and who forces them: God is after forcing them Forgiving Compassionate,
[Let it be known, slavery was abolished in Islam, fifteen-hundred years ago,
People cannot be “possessed”,
But the state of the servants that are brought from poor countries into Islamic countries: is nothing short of slavery, exercised ostensibly according to modern civil laws, but practically according to heathen laws,
The verse isn’t allowing Muslims to use their servants as sex slaves,
Not in a righteous and decent person’s mind, anyway,
Especially if it is against the will of the person being used,
And as the gender of the “slave” is not specified, our reading of it is linguistically confirmed …
All the available exegeses have taken this as a green light to rape one’s “slaves”, however glorified the words and the rules they have come up with may have been …
Literacy was a privilege in the past to the ruling families, the clergy and the rich …, save the odd cases when someone of humble origins knew they had the intellectual ability to learn to read and write, and demanded it …
The verse is encouraging the spread of literacy and the promulgation of knowledge, outside then conventional social structures …
And indeed it should’ve been taken by the religions and the sects which practised secrecy in the name of esotericism: to open their Books to whomever was capable of understanding,
The educational and spiritual aptitudes of people are not dictated by their lineage or the religion they are born to …
If this was the case in a past time: it is not anymore,
Anyone who claim knowledge and “privilegism” by virtue of their birth: have to demonstrate their knowledge and their understanding of the Books and contemporary philosophies, and have to have a character of a high standard and civility.]
34. And We have descended to you [the people] clarifying verses, and examples of those who have [come and] gone before you, and a sermon to the refuging ones,
35. God is the Light of the Heavens and the earth, the Model of His Light is like a niche, in it is a lamp, the lamp is in a glass, the glass is like a jewel star, fueled from a Bountiful Olive Tree, neither is it rising nor is it setting, its Oil is all but luminous, although no fire has touched it, Light upon Light, God guides to His Light whomever He will, and sets He the Models to the People, God is All Knower of everything,
[Transcend in God’s Models, from which all creation is sustained.]
36. In houses: God has given Leave that it be raised and in it His Summum be remembered, in it transcendence in Him [is achieved], at the dusks and at the dawns,
37. Men who are not distracted by business and trade from remembering God and holding up the prayers and performing the purifications, fearing a day when the hearts are turned over, and the visions,
[This is essentially what the Sabbath is about,
But not unlike the Sabbath, the prayers and the purifications of Muslims are rituals which a god demands for his satisfaction,
And by the way, purification that is zakat, is understood by Shariah advocates solely to be a three percent kind of tax, to be given to poor relatives and neighbours.]
38. For God to reward them for the best of what they did, and to increase them of His Elevation, and God provides whom He will gratuitously,
39. And those who distanced: their deeds are like a mirage in a plateau, the thirsty reckons it water, until he comes and finds it nothing, and Gods makes the abider in Him exist [we read “و وجدَ اللهُ عبدَه”], so He redeems his account, God accounts swiftly,
[The switch of the subject and the object in this verse highlights the fears and hopes that are the belief of Abrahamic religions,
As we read it correctly: they still struggle to reach the height of it,
It would be better for them to admit that they are still learning,
If each group believe they will be rewarded for their belief: they are all still in the mirage of action and reaction.]
40. Or like the somber of a rumbling ocean, obscures it waves, on top of them are waves, on top of them are clouds, darkness: parts of it upon parts of it, if he brings out his hand, he can barely see it, and he for whom God made no light has no light,
41. Have you not seen that God: in Him transcend the heaven and the earth, and the flyers line up, each know their prayers and their mantras, and God is Knower of what they do,
42. To God is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, to God is the becoming,
43. Have you not seen that God inserts clouds, then He combines them, then piles them up He, you see rain exiting from between them, and drops He from the skies: chains [we read “حِبال"], in them are hailstones, strikes He whomever He will with them, and makes them miss whomever He will, the glare of their lightening all but takes visions away,
[Hinting to that hailstones are formed by loups of hot and cold air, resulting in the formation of hailstones, layer upon layer.]
44. Alternates He the day and the night, in this is an example to the ones with vision,
45. And God created every mover from Water, some of them crawl on their stomachs, some of them walk on two legs, some of them walk on four legs, creates He whatever He will, God is Capable of all things,
[A pantheistic view is the aim in all those grand verses,
To marvel at the mighty displays of nature is a way to fathom their essences. Often the Models are seen in dreams of high reaches and upon high reaching meditation, for abiding people,
They wake up of a euphoria of awe verging on fear …, that sends their minds to new levels of elevation,
This is God’s Providence, if the people of religions truly understand,
Had they accepted Providence: they would’ve taken it from all the Books, they would’ve become in total accord with one another,
There’s no such a thing: this is god’s final religion, if you didn’t adopt it, you are the bad one,
A long way ahead of them is yet to be walked.]
46. We have descended clarifying verses, and God guides whomever he will to a straight path,
47. And they say: “we’ve believed God and the messenger, and we’ve obeyed them”, then a team of them takes charge after this, and those are not believers,
[The word “تولّى" could mean to turn away or to take charge,
By taking exclusively the former meaning: religious authorities have taken charge of religion,
The fragmented state of all Abrahamic religions is the result of groups of them taking charge and declaring themselves exclusive owners …
Their destiny now is their own making …]
48. And if they are called to God and His messenger to judge between them, then a group of them decline,
49. If the Law was [known] to them: they would come to It concededly,
[The Law is that religions have been delivered to the prophets by the Arch Angel Gabriel,
Regardless of the names of the prophets to whom he spoke in different places and times …
Gabriel is a human, he eats food and walks the markets, as this very Book has testified,
Neither is he a winged man, nor is he a pigeon hovering above the prophet’s head, and nor has he an opposite and a rival who challenge his authority and tame his self-conceit,
The people of Abrahamic religions from the Jews to the Bahais, including Christians, Muslims, Alawites and Druze, have to re-assess their philosophic bases,
So long as they believe that their prophet is special above other prophets,
Or that the battle of good and evil has its roots in the heavens:
They will continue to choose the path of war and self-selection,
Oppositeness and likeness exist only in a dual existence.]
50. Is there an illness in their hearts, or are they in doubt, or fearful that God and His messenger be around them? Nay, those are the darkened ones,
51. That so, the say of the believers, when called to god and His messenger to judge between them, is to say: “we’ve listened and obeyed”; those are the achievers,
[The people of Abrahamic religions listen to and obey only their self-appointed clergy …
The time of their beliefs is over. They served a purpose in the past, now they are fairytales …
Time is inspiring to free people to investigate the natural causes of things,
And unfolding political events are pointing people to a path of mutual understanding and cooperation,
People and authorities have to consider the interests of others equally, nay firstly, to their own interests,
And have to look after the earth and the life on it, for their own survival.]
52. Whoever obeys God and His messenger, and fears God and takes refuge in Him: those are the succeeding ones,
[To do this: people do not need the intermediacy or the authority of religions …
God and His Law are closer to people than their own selves …, if they truly witnessed and believed.]
53. And they swore most solemnly by God, that if you told them: they would come out; say: “swear not to obvious obedience, God is All Informed about what you do”,
54. Say: “obey God and obey the messenger”, and if they turn away: upon him is what he has been loaded and upon you is what you’ve been loaded, if you obey him you are guided, the messenger has only the clarifying promulgation,
55. Has promised God: those who believed of you and did right: that He shall bequeath the earth to them like He bequeathed it to those before them, and shall He affirm their religions that He admitted to them, and to change them after their fright to safety, that they abide in Me, affix none to Me, and who distance after this: those are the aberrant ones,
56. And hold up the prayers and perform the purifications, and do obey the messenger, may you be mercified,
57. Count not those who distanced: invincible in the earth; their dwelling is the fire and a bad becoming,
58. O you who believe, they should request permission/advice from you: [O you] whose right hands/souls have reigned: and those who have not attained vision of you: three times: before the prayers of dawn, and when you put on your exoteric attires, and after the prayers of the evening; three outings [we read “غورات"] for you; no error is on you or on them after them [the outings]; aggregating over you: some of you over some of you; thus clarifies God the verses for you, God is All Knowing Sovereign,
59. And if the children of yours attain vision: that they request permission like the ones before them requested permission/advice, thus clarifies God his verses for you, God is Knowing Sovereign,
60. And the sitters of the forgetful ones, who hope not for marriage: are not in error if they wore their attires, without beautifying adornments, and if they abstain, it is better for them, God is Hearing Knowing,
61. No compulsion is on the part of the blind, and no compulsion is on the part of the disabled, and no compulsion is on the part of the ill, and neither on yourselves: that you eat from your Homes or the Homes of your fathers, or the Homes of your mothers, or the Homes of your brothers, or the Homes of your sisters, or the Homes of your paternal uncles, or the Homes of your paternal aunts, or the Homes of your maternal uncles, or the Homes of your maternal aunts, or what you reigned by its Openings, or your friend, you are not in error when you eat all together or scattered, so if you enter houses do cast the peace upon yourselves: a greeting from God, blessed and good, thus God clarifies for you the verses, may you discern,
[The double life that the seekers of enlightenment have had to live, in the Levant and the entire of the Middle east, across all Abrahamic religions …: has not been an easy call,
Religious institutes and individuals want to claim ownership of the books and the god, to keep the true Teaching obscured: only because neither are they capable of discerning it, nor would they be willing to tread its roads …
Religions are now reduced to sets of assumptions, traditions, rituals … and rules of behaviour: which individually distinguish them …
Rules of behaviour which, in their triviality: from outside them: the world is unknown to god: and everything is permissible …
Ancient Hebrew and Aramaic Books are full of similar guidelines,
Most famous of which are perhaps the Dead Sea Scrolls,
Which, not unlike those three verses, appear to provide to religious authorities: rules of combat in guerilla war, rules of cleaning utensils, and prescriptions for healing pimples from the head …
Such rules will vary in time, and their wording is more or less explicit … depending on the culture and the time in which they were written …
The Far East, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to have a problem with having two distinct ways of life, as taught by their Books,
The life of the ordinary person, who is involved in activity and passions … and who is given guidelines to steer away from the actions and the passions which could result in severe suffering to himself and others …
And the life of the seeker of enlightenment, which is austere, celibate, contemplative, disciplined, and in which activity is dedicated to the service of others …
To the Truth seeker, a Book has not descended from the heavens to tell the people that it is OK if their close servants and slaves saw their nudity in their homes, before prayers … at certain times of the day …
Nor would it descend to tell people that it is OK to eat at one’s relatives’ homes …
All people need is a bare measure of courtesy and decency to work out what is the best behaviour in the given circumstances …
Of course, new situations always arise …
The introduction of technology into our lives and our interaction with one another has created a whole world of new situations …
I find those verses best suited for modern life styles, whereby living in isolation is not practicable …
The student can get involved in their daily activity, dressed normally, albeit modestly … without the exhibitionism of religious grooming and dressing, and the constant calling of invocations and expressions … loud … in order to be recognised as pious and holy …
And when at home in their isolation: they shake the day’s dust off their clothes, they have their showers, and go on doing what they love best …
Then they would gather at certain times of the day or the week … in order to learn from each other’s experiences …: and this is where it is perfectly OK to eat the food of other people …: so they can learn from one another: and the food of all religions is made available to all: and the Home is one Home for everyone …
The commandments to the seekers of Truth is consistent throughout the messages: and that is to be welcoming to ordinary people, and not to make the less capable, intellectually or physically due to responsibilities: guilty for not dedicating their entire lives to Truth seeking, to provide advice to them, to listen to their woes and dilemmas … to give them comfort and reassurance, and to consult with one another about addressing new problems and seeking answers for new questions …]
62. That so, the believers are those who trusted God and his messenger, and if they were with him about a unifying issue, they wouldn’t depart until they’ve taken his advice, so if they take your advice [addressing the messenger] about some of their issues: do give advice to whom you will of them, and ask for forgiveness for them, God is indeed Forgiving Compassionate,
63. Make not the invocation to the messenger amongst yourselves like the call of one another, God definitely knows those who sneak of you stealthily, so be they warned: those who violate His Aim: that dazzlement might strike them, or might strike them severe suffering,
[Yet again, the mention of the messenger, by whichever name he is known, as a backup and a sign of piety and knowledge: is unadvisable …
Similarly to the Commandment which advises not to mention of the names of the Creator in vain, as a backup, in order to issue fatwas and to appear pious and holy.]
64. Hail, to God is what’s in the heavens and the earth, definitely knows He what you’re on, and the day to Him they are returned, so He informs them of what they did, God is Knower of everything
