Surah 34
Sheba
1. The homage is to God Who has what’s in the heavens and what’s in the earth, and to Him is the homage in the end, is He the Sovereign the Omniscient,
2. Knows He what goes inside the earth and what comes out of it, and what comes down from the sky and what swerves [back] in it, is He Forgiving Compassionate,
3. And said those who distanced: “the hour comes not to us”, say: “nay, by my Lord it will come to you; the Knower of the Unseen: not a mote’s measure escapes Him in the heavens and the earth, and neither smaller than that and nor bigger: but in a clarifying Book”,
4. So He rewards them who believed and did good, those have forgiveness and an honourable Providence,
5. And those who endeavor to race with Our verses, those have a suffering of painful filth,
[The race to explain the verses and to analyse them grammatically and linguistically, and to append theories of war and laws of sharia to them …: has left the Islamic world with a legacy of confusion, tribal and religious divisions, and a swag of rituals which have reduced the minds of pious Muslims to those of a monkey, whose ultimate hope is a garden of food and sex, and whose biggest fear is an oven in which they will be baked forever and ever …]
6. And those who were given the knowledge know that what was descended to you [the messenger] from your Lord is the Law, and it guides to the Strata of the Exalted the Ubiquitous,
7. And those who disbelieved say: “shall we point you to a man who informs you: if you were torn apart every tear, that you are the in a new creation?,
8. “Has he fabricated falsehood on God, or is he [possessed] by demons?” nay, those who believe not in the hereafter are in a far suffering and bewilderment,
9. Have they not looked at what’s between their hands [present] and what’s behind them [past] from the sky and the earth? will We, We would eclipse the earth, or drop on them a segment from the sky, in this is a marvel to every returning abider,
[These words are being opened at no better time than the present,
The world which was meant to be enjoyed and learned …: has been turned into a perilous and a low form of existence, where no living being feels safe and free to live …
And in the midst of the looming danger of natural disasters and celestial objects hitting the earth before being detected or deflected: the drive to wage wars, to control the world’s resources, lands, airs and waters, to subdue everyone to the power of money, fire and the pagan gods …: never relents …
If modern world nations refuse to see a correlation between injustice and natural chaos: the least they can do is to remove the barriers of animosity and ill-intent between one another: so they can deal with the natural disasters when they occur. Those don’t discriminate between the warring nations and tribes, and they are obviously becoming more frequent and more intense … ]
10. And We’ve bestowed elevation onto David from Us, “O mountains, sway along with him, and the flyers; the sharpness [of his vision and mind] returned Us to him [we read: “آلنا له الحديدُ”],
11. That do make sevens [we read “سابعات"], and measure upon expansion, and [addressing the people] do good, I am of what you are doing Seer,
[Al-Hadeed (the one of the sharp mind and vision) is the title of David the Dimensioner or the Psalmist, as featured in the Qur’an a few times …
The “sevens” must be alluding to a calendar system that he set,
The reconciliation of the lunar calendar and the solar calendar has been a mathematical and an astronomical challenge since many millennia,
With modern observation and measuring tools and computer modelling, lunar and solar years can now be charted accurately,
The overlapping and seemingly unsynchronised periodical systems which rule the heavens, however, and their influence on climate, agriculture, wild life, people’s moods and activity …: is still an unknown science …
Pre-ancient civilisations seem to have had a non-mathematical approach to a better knowledge of those system: simply by being able to eavesdrop to the sounds which conduct the activity and inertia in the entire universe,
The next verses, tell of Solomon’s (Aristotle’s) mastery of physics, ethics and metaphysics.]
12. And to Solomon, the breeze: its coming forth is [upon] vigilance [we read “سَهَرٌ"], and its Spirit is vigilance, and We made flow for him the eye [mines] of [molten] copper; and of the demons who work between his hands by his Lord’s leave, and whoever of them is unfocused over Our Aim: we make them experience the suffering of hell,
[The demons or Jinn who were employed to build the Temple of Solomon in Ba’albeck, and to extract copper and other metals: were none but king Hiram's masons,
Both David and Solomon recognised Hiram as the incarnation of Satan, and used his natural knowledge for a good purpose,
But although a lot of the masonry work was done by them: the cosmological truths behind the design of the Temple are totally unknown to them. Their claim that they know the “secrets” and the design of the Temple is a political strategy, not unlike that of all other Abrahamic religions …]
13. They make for him what he demands of temples, statues, balconies as gathering spaces [we read “كالحواب"], and fixed containers [of food provisions], toil O you people of David thankfully, and a few of the abiders in Me are thankful,
[The brief description depicts the miracle that was the Temple, where there were a number of buildings, designed for the different levels of spiritual advancement,
In the common places of gathering for all the people, the wise and the ordinary, their awe of the Temple inspired to them they are all God’s children, whom He loved and looked after …
Big stone containers were dedicated to collecting the harvest of the seasons, of olives, fruits, grains … no one kept their harvest for themselves to grow their money, but to offer to their family: of God’s children …
And people helped themselves to what they needed …]
14. So when We judged death onto him: nothing demonstrated his death to them [the Jinn, i.e. non-believing people] except the walkers of the earth, eating from his staff/beginning; so when he prostrated, it became clear to the Jinn that had they known the Unseen, they wouldn’t have remained in a humiliating suffering,
[The state of enlightenment that Solomon reached was indiscernible to the non-believing people then as it is now …
To Abrahamic religions Solomon was a magician … who had supernatural beings working for him …
But the whole world rejoices to the radiance of enlightened people, animals and good people flock around them to scoop as much radiance as they can from them …
But beware of the charlatans who stage these things, to perform their illusions, to seize the minds and souls of less aware people …]
15. There was in the dwellings of Sheba a marvel: two gardens about the right and about the left/north, eat from what your Lord has bestowed on you, and thank Him for a good town and forgiving Lord,
16. They turned away, so We sent to them the flow of a deluge, and We swapped their two gardens with two gardens of sour food of wild plants and a thing of a few trees,
17. That We punished them for what they disbelieved, do We punish except the distancing [ones]?
[In COB’s vision Sheba is none but Palmyra …
The history that has been woven around this mysterious city, and the date of its thriving and demise is all speculative, and based on flimsy evidence told by ancient historians …
What is certain is that the carved rock could not have been made in ancient times using bronze age tools and engineering …
The theory that alternative researchers have come up with makes more sense …
And that is the city was built in pre-ancient times, at least twelve thousand years ago, going back to the era that COB calls the era of Atlantis …
The city’s ruins, having survived the cataclysmic events which sank Atlantis in the ocean and annihilated the many advanced civilisations all around the world then: was reused later by perhaps a number of consecutive civilisations, as was also the case in Egypt and South America and other places …
Mainstream researchers also have been able to identify a system of water collection and distribution that kept the city alive in a land that perhaps has always been dry …
But again, signs of an event, which could’ve been a major downpour of rain that the system was incapable of containing: caused its complete ruin …
After that, and according to those verses: the town became arid and now it is totally uninhabitable …]
18. And We made between them and the towns which We blessed: elevated/sanctified [we read “طاهرة"] towns, and We destined the path in them, do travel at night and day safely,
[This is pointing to small isolated communities of the ascetic people of the Way (أبناء السبيل) who lived away from the commotion of business, wars and politics, in various parts of the Levant, usually on high mountains, unreachable to travelers and invaders, and where star gazing is easier,
This particular allusion seems to point to the area between Palmyra and al-Quds and Ba’albeck,
The remains of the caves of Qumran are one such example …]
19. They said: “God has widened the distance between our travels, and they darkened themselves, We turned them into history, We tore them every tear, in this is indeed are examples to every forbearing thanking one,
20. And Iblis has proven his suspicion of them, they followed him, except a group of believers,
21. And he had no power over them, but only so We identify who believes in the hereafter from those who are in doubt about it, and your Lord is over everything the Protector,
[The demise of those communities is only the result of their failure to set themselves free from thoughts and passions in order to adhere to the One Purpose …
From the history of enlightened groups of people of which very little is known: it is clear that the journey of enlightenment is an individual pursuit, and the community can only provide the support system …
Weak minds can be easily tempted by worldly causes, and drift away …
Iblis finds in those communities an opportunity to pump his ego …
He dazzles them with sweet words of godly love, false beliefs and bogus justice, and sometimes he says: I am god …!
The weak ones hurl themselves into his unreceiving arms …
He has no authority over them, it is their own weakness that empowers him …]
22. Say: “call those you claim below God, they reign not an atom’s measure in the heavens and nor in the earth, they have no partners in them, and He has no one showing up of them”,
23. Dualism benefits not in Him, except to them who had permission, so that once it is emptied [we read “فُرِّغ"] from their hearts, they [bewildered people] say: “what has your Lord said?”, they say: “the Law”, is He the Lofty the Almighty,
[The people of Abrahamic religions can read only a system of heavenly cronyism every time the word dualism ( شفع أو شفاعة ) is mentioned …
Little wonder why their corrupt political and business systems …
So I’ll leave it to the high reaching minds to fathom this verse.]
24. Say: “who provides you from the heavens and the earth?”, say: “God; and we and you are either guided or in a distancing bewilderment”,
25. Say: “you are not asked about crimes we perpetrated, and nor are we asked about what you do”,
[The verses which strip the people from the responsibility of judging the faith and the deeds of others are too many to count, and too many to dismiss …
But Islamic scholars are too quick to say that some verses “cancel” (تنسخ) others …!
Thus the Book, in their crooked interpretation cancels itself repeatedly …
Thus they believe one part of it and disbelieve another part … as the Book clearly warned them not to do many times …
Those verses are addressed to Muslims as much as they are addressed to the other the Abrahamic religions of before … if they understand.]
26. Say: “our Lord gathers us all then opens He between us by the Law, is He Opener the Omniscient”,
27. Say: “show me those that you have attached to Him as partners; nay, He is God the Exalted the Sovereign”,
[The partners are none but the person or persons that each religion and each division of each religion: took as god’s favorite prophet, saint, imam, son of god … or even god …!
Thus a cocktail of god’s favorite people: are calling on their followers to fight, in the understanding of those followers, … constantly.]
28. And We did not send you [the messenger Gabriel] but to the entire humanity, a bringer of glad tidings and a warner, but most people know not,
[In our reading, every time the word “messenger” (رسول) is used: it refers to Gabriel who taught the Books to all the prophets of Abrahamic religions,
This is the expression of the universality and the continuity of the Message,
Not one part of it can be separated from another …
Except in the minds of them who prefer difference over Union, and local gods and partners of god over the One God.]
29. And they say: “so when is this promise if you were honest?”,
30. Say: “you have an appointment on a day that you delay not by an hour, and nor do you bring forward”,
31. And those who disbelieve say: “we won’t believe this Qur’an, and neither by what’s between his [the prophet’s] hands [the Torah and the Gospels]”; and if you see the darkened ones made to stand up in their Lord, some of them return the say to some of them; those who were weak of them say to those who were haughty: “if it wasn’t for you we would’ve been believers”,
32. Those who were haughty say to those who were weak: “was it us who barred you from guidance after it came to you? nay, you are criminals”,
33. And those who were weak say to those who were haughty: “nay, the day and night intrigue, when you commanded us to disbelieve in God and to make dissidents to Him”; they secret the remorse when they see the suffering, and We made shackles in the necks of those who disbelieve, will they be rewarded except [for] what they did?
[The blame shifting between ordinary people and their religious authorities is already underway …
Many ordinary people have woken up to that their clergy and men of religious attires got it totally wrong and represent no one but themselves …
And by defining and pointing at their god’s enemies: each group have fed the fire of religious animosity that has been, at times shimmering, at others flaring …
With an avalanche of worldwide problems: caused by greed and competition between big and small nations, and the climate that is responding with parallel chaos: those fires are not going to subside …
The destruction that every religion and branch of religion have planned will happen in all directions, until the warzones in the world, especially the Levant: is turned to a flatland littered with bodies and ruins,
This is the Armageddon all have been waiting for. And the opportunities to stop it … are becoming less opportune and less practicable …
And indeed, those and many other verses shed light on the real issues which rule the petty minds of religious people …
Be not deceived by the good speaking and writing skills of the frocked men of religions, be not dazzled by their eloquence and reference to the Books …
This is only to cover up the pettiness of their intellect and the baseness of their character …
Those verses expose the real cause which divides religions: of moral and intellectual bankruptcy.]
34. And We sent not a warner to a country but their affluent ones said: “we are in what you [the messengers] have been sent with: disbelieving”,
35. And they said: “we have more money and offspring, we won’t be subjected to suffering”,
[Indeed, all Abrahamic religions associate wealth with their god’s blessing …
The Arabs and the Persians believe that their countries’ wealth of crude oil is a sign of god’s bias to them,
The Jews believe that their monetary power is a result of being god’s chosen people,
The Christians believe that their economic success is their god’s blessing …,
All those systems are hanging on a cliff’s edge. It takes a small error, triggered by greed and reliance on a phantom god, to bring on the total collapse of the greed systems …
Financial crises of the past have been a warning to everyone, if anyone wants to heed them.]
36. Say: “that my Lord expands the providence to whomever He will, and measures He [we read “يقدّر”]”, but most people know not,
37. Neither your money and nor your offspring bring you close in Us near [Us], except them who believed and did good, those have the reward of the dual [existence] of what they did, they are in the knowledge/chambers safe,
[The word “ألغرفة” that has featured a few times in the Qur’an can be read both as “ألغرفة" or "ألعرفة",
(one meaning: chamber, and the other: knowledge or awakening),
It is the state of complete Union of the looker and looker … in a dual, but no more dual, existence …
This is the highest state of being …
In mainstream Islam, the word “ألعرفة” is thought to be a part of a ritual that is practised at the Hajj …
A ritual that has its roots in a pre-Islamic pagan ritual,
The entire Hajj ritual needs to be abolished completely, if Muslims are serious about being believers in God …
The word Hajj in Arabic means “proof”. The proof to the believing soul to her return to her Lord …]
38. And those who pursue appendage/incomprehensibleness [we read both “مُعجِزين" and “مُعاجِزين"] in Our verses, those are in the suffering made to come,
[If “مُعجِزين" is taken, it implies appending stuff to the Qur’an …
That’s what we have today of volumes upon volumes of books of sharia and rituals …
All of which have inspired tribal, political and monetary systems …, which might appear to differ in some details, but are essentially equal and stand at the same low intellectual level and heathen morality and traditions …
The different versions of Islam, today and then: have nothing to do with the Qur’an, nothing at all …, as this reading of it clearly demonstrates …
In fact, many of the Qur’an’s verses are believed to be overridden or cancelled by other verses … or are completely overlooked in favour to what’s been appended to them of sharia and rituals …, by all the sects of Islam!
Hence the other reading “مُعاجِزين", which means: to make it impractical and incomprehensible …, in order to introduce their own laws and beliefs.]
39. Say: “that my Lord expands the providence to whom He will of the abiders in Him, and measures He [we read “يقدّر”], and whatever you expend of a thing: it is He Who creates [we read “يخلقه"] it, it is He the Good of all the providers,
[The difference between saying: whatever you expend of a thing it is He who compensates it - as in their reading - and saying: whatever you expend of a thing it is He Who creates it - as in our reading: is essential to understanding the god of a monotheist religion and the knowledge of the Creator of the Worlds,
The gods of monotheist religions create the world and humanity in order, ultimately, to reward and punish them,
In Union (tawheed): all concepts ultimately vanish upon returning to the Creator Who creates everything, including guidance and bewilderment …]
40. And the day He gathers them all together, then He says to the angels: “those, have they been worshipping you?”,
41. They [the angels] say: “transcend Thou, Thou art our Master without them; no, they were worshipping the Jinn [the gone people], most of them are believers in them”,
[Perhaps it is never over-emphasised to say again that neither “angels” nor “Jinn” are supernatural beings …
They are two of the major streamlines of humanity …
And all the Books and Ghita have mentioned the people of light and the people of darkness …
But religions have been too quick to judge themselves and others by saying: we are the people of light, and everyone else are those of darkness …
It should be understood that this was not an arbitrary decision by a god, but indeed the consequence of many existences …
Some people loved darkness and natural existence and precipitated in it and thus stultified themselves and became pagan and materialistic; and some, wherever their destinies sent them: they were keenly close to the Unseen inside their own heads.
Another point that is noteworthy: “Thou art our Master without them”: because darkened religious and political leaders’ power is the very masses which worship them,
The masses empower them, and the masses invest their passions in them …
Thus they reign and wield power for a while, by the laws of nature, and live in the illusion that they have bypassed the Law of all the worlds.]
42. Today, none of you reigns benefit or harm to none of you, and We say to those who darkened: “experience the suffering of hell in which you were disbelieving”,
43. And when Our verses are recited to them clearly, they say: “this is no one but a human wanting to turn you away from what your fathers have been worshipping”, and they said: “this is none but fake fabrication”, and those who distanced to the Law when it came to them said: “this is none but powerful magic”,
44. And what We brought to them of Books to study, and who We sent to them before you [the messenger] of warners,
[Islamic scholars consistently deny that any message had reached Arabia before the Qur’an,
Although they tell stories about the prophet’s Jewish neighbour and his Christian wife, to mention a few instances which contradict their theory, without their notice …!
They can’t see that by making the “ما" an adverb of negation: the verse becomes totally out of place in the context of what was said before it …!
Verses 43 and 44 are saying that this is not the first time the people of Arabia had been given a warning …, but indeed to remind them of what their fathers were warned before: “لتنذر قومًا ما أُنذر آباؤهم”, if “ما" is taken as a pronoun.
Islamic scholars want to have the world believe that their religion cancels previous Books, when it is unequivocally said a few times in the Qur’an that it confirms what’s between the prophet’s hands of the Torah and the Gospel,
All Abrahamic religions, in fact, would like the world to believe that their Book overrides or cancels the other Books: in their lack of understanding of the “other” Books as well as their own.]
45. And those before them did lie, and what they reached is the misfortune [we read “معسار"] of what We brought to them, they falsified My messengers, so how is My wrath?
[Indeed, all the messages have been a misfortune brought upon by the religions’ distortion of them.]
46. Say: “that what I council you is by the Unity, that you rise up to God, in dual and single [awareness], then that you ponder; your companion [the messenger] is not of the gone/mad people, he’s but a warner to you between the hands [in the presence of] severe suffering”,
47. Say: “what I ask you of reward: it is for you; my reward is upon God, and over everything is He Witness”,
48. Say: “my Lord throws/powers by the Law, the Knower of the Unseen”,
49. Say: “the Law has come, and falsehood can neither begin [a thing] nor iterate it”,
50. Say: “if I drift away, it’s upon myself that I do, and if I’m guided it is by what my Lord has inspired to me, is He the Hearer the Near”,
51. And if only you can see when they panic upon the no-entry, and they are taken from a near place,
52. And they say: “we’ve believed in it”; in their dreams [the closest English expression]: reaping/reaching from a far place,
53. They have already disbelieved it from before, they throw [stuff] at the Unseen, from a far place,
54. Thus it has been barricaded between them and what they covet, as it has been done to their likes, foes and branches of before, they [all] are in a confusing doubt
