Surah 38
Ssaad “ص"
1. Ssaad “ص", by the Qur'an of remembrance,
[Some Arabic letters have not an equivalent in English. This one sounds like a thick “s”,
In Arabic there are thick versions of the letters corresponding to d, dh, s, t, on top of the flat ones equivalent to their English counterparts.
The significance of the letters which start some Surahs has been explained in a previous post and on the website.]
2. Nay, those who distanced are in a delusion [we read “غِرّة”] and division,
3. How many a century/civilisation before them have We destroyed, so they called out [for help], and too far then is an escape,
4. Surprised were they, that a warner came to them amongst them, and the disbelievers said: “he is a wizard [and] a liar,
5. “Has he made [all] the gods One God? indeed this a thing of wonder”,
6. And the leaders of them set out, that: “keep going and be patient over your gods, this is the thing that is wanted,
7. “We haven’t heard of this in the last religion, this is but made up,
[Indeed, every religion have believed they are the last religion, from ancient times to the present, and that their god is exclusively god.]
8. “Has the remembrance been descended onto him amongst us?” nay, they are in doubt about My Remembrance, nay, they haven’t yet experienced My suffering,
9. Or do they have the records of your Lord’s Compassion, The Exalted The Sustainer,
10. Or do they have the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what’s between them, [if] so: that they rise on the connections/reasons,
11. Guards are there, unconquerable by the sects,
12. Lied before them the people of Noah, Ad [Eden], and the Pharaoh of the obelisks,
13. And Thamud, and the people of Lott, and the people of the big tree, those sects,
[A number of past civilisations mentioned in the Qur’an and the Bible refer to pre-ancient time, i.e. before the known history, which supposedly started 10,000 years ago or so, according to the academia,
But alternative researchers have been examining the ruins which have either been neglected by the academia, or dressed with theories which sound as fallacious as the fairytales of religions,
Where there is a problem, this Page isn’t shy from pointing to it, even if it upsets some people.
Both the academia and the religious authorities are happy with the status quo,
They argue with one another about the origin of life and the journey of human civilisations, while both know that their theories bear no truth whatsoever,
This has rendered their debate a theatrical performance that has a pre-written script, and has given rise to conspiracy theories.]
14. None but all falsified the messengers, so punishment was due,
15. What they await those: is none but a single call, that no one can override,
16. And they said: “our Lord, do quicken our share for us before Judgement Day,”
17. Be patient over what they say, and remember the abider in Us, David, who is supported, [by] that he returns and returns,
18. We have dedicated the mountains for him to transcend in the dusk and in the dawn,
[The mountains of Lebanon used to swing to his transcendence, and to Job’s, upon looking them.]
19. And the flyers gathered, all to him returning,
20. And We affirmed his Kingdom and bestowed on him the Philosophy and the analysis of Speech,
21. Has it come to you, the news of the rival(s) as they climbed up to the monastery/seclusion?
22. As they entered to David, he was frightened of them, they said: “fear not, [we are] two rivals, one has wronged the other, do judge between us by the Law, and drift not, and guide us to the straight path,
23. “This is my brother, has he ninety-nine sheep/interests and I have one sheep/interest, he said: ‘give me custody of it’, and he honoured me by speech”,
24. Said he [David]: “he wronged you by asking for your interest [to be added] to his interests, and a lot of those who mix do wrong one another, except those who believed and did good things, and a few are they”; and David thought that We confused him, so he asked forgiveness of his Lord, and collapsed he prostrated and returned,
25. So We forgave this for him, he has closeness in Us, and a good return,
26. O David, We have made you a successor in the earth, do judge between the people by the Law, follow no passion, it distracts you from the Way of God, those who are distracted from the Way of God have great suffering, by that they have forgotten the Day of Judgement,
[If the literal meaning is to be taken, I frankly cannot find the wrong in the exegesis that Islamic scholars have profusely explained,
But to the contrary, it seems that the man who is asking to add his brother’s sheep to his own herd, is actually doing him a favour, unless he is planning to take its daily milk and yearly shear of wool,
In which case it would be moronic of the man with one sheep even to consider such a proposition, let alone consulting a prophet about its correctness …
And if this is meant to prohibit monopoly and unfair business practices: it doesn’t seem to have inspired such values to Islamic scholars,
Greed, monopoly and unfair business practices are rife in countries which go by Islamic laws …
Not unlike the verses of Surah 9, which were thought to be military strategy: this verse is thought to be a lesson in fair business partnerships,
Little wonder why Islamic religious authorities in all their sects haven’t been able neither to understand the complexity of human relations, and nor to set a moral standard that befits intelligent and honest people.
The word that is literally translated to “sheep” is from the root of “ نعج", which points to something turning white … according to old Arabic dictionaries,
It’s perhaps the auspicious light colour of the woolen coat of sheep that is behind a derivative that is used to mean ‘sheep’,
In a broader sense, the word points figuratively to any good material growth,
Hence, at the esoteric level, one of the two men had too many material interests, and the other had just one interest,
The one with the material interests is persuading his brother to abandon his pursuit of spiritual development, in favour of business and affluence,
So, David, without hesitation, advised him to keep his “sheep” for himself,
In those days, the life of seclusion in the pursuit of spiritual development was a lot easier than it is today. The ancient Judaic Books and traditions, which were passed down to Christianity, are such a testimony.
David, however, didn’t feel totally sure that he gave the right advice.
Also, the fact that he was frightened from his intruders, and that his peace of mind was shaken: exposed weaknesses in him that he felt he had to work on to overcome,
Hence his Lord’s inspiration to him and reassurance.]
27. We have not created the heaven and the earth and what’s between them falsely, this is the thinking of those who distanced, wo from the fire: to those who have distanced,
[Neither in monotheism or in materialism can this be understood to mean anything true. In both beliefs: random events and a capricious god have created a false world.]
28. Or are We to make those who believed and did good like the despoilers in the earth, or to make the refuging ones like the reckless,
29. A Book We descended unto you, Holy, [for them] to comprehend its verses, and for the ones with kernels to remember,
30. And We bestowed Solomon onto David, eminent abider, is he returning and returning,
31. When one evening, were presented to him: lined up good females,
32. Said he: “I have desired good/affluence over my Lord’s remembrance, until it [the Spirit] became hidden by a veil,
33. “Return it to me”, and he began wiping out the driven ones/slaves and the free ones [we read “أعتاق”],
34. We have tempted Solomon, We placed him on his throne as a body, then he came back,
35. Said he: “Lord, forgive me, and bestow on me a Kingdom that is not transgressing to One after me, Thou art the Bestower”,
36. So, We dedicated the Breeze/Spirit to him, going by his Aim, [and] descending [onto him] wherever he settles,
37. Also the demons of every mason and a diver/skilled tradesman,
38. And others tied up together with shackles [not free at all],
39. This is Our giving: “lavish or withdraw [whom you wish], unaccountably”
40. And indeed, to him in Us is closeness and a radiant return,
[Whether scholars agree or not with our reading: is a matter for them,
As this very Book has said: neither do we have proof and nor do you,
Until evidence becomes clearly,
But in the meantime, they have to stop claiming exclusive ownership of all the Books, and much so the Qur’an,
And of course: to stop waging wars in the name of their gods,
The Books are given to humanity, and not to any group of people exclusively,
The esoteric layer of those verses reveals itself to those who have tread those roads, rather than read the verses like they do their dailies, where they hanker after disputation and gossip.]
41. And remember the abider in Us Job, when he called his Lord: “the devil has touched me with tiredness and agony”,
42. “Run with your possessions [we read “برحلك"], this is a cool ablution and a beverage”,
[This is the equivalent to saying: carry your cross and follow me.]
43. And We bestowed on him and his family and [people] like them with them: compassion from Us and remembrance for a people with a kernel,
44. “And take in your hand a bunch and strike with it, and err not”, We have found him forbearing, eminent abider, indeed is he returning and returning,
45. And remember our servant Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, of hands and vision,
46. We have privileged them by the privilege of remembrance, of the House/Circle,
47. Indeed, they are in Us of the chosen and select,
48. And remember Ismael, al-yassa3/Jesus, and the one of the double/the guarantor, all of the chosen ones,
[The names of messengers and prophets aren’t cited randomly in the Qur’an, but in groups to point to their relationships with one another and their spiritual rank,
So, in the previous post David and Solomon were grouped together,
In this passage: Abraham and his favorite child and grandchild are mentioned to point to their establishment of the religion that is known today as Judaism, and the father of all monotheist religions,
Next, Ismael is followed by a name which featured twice in the Qur’an, and in both it is coupled with “Ismael”,
Regardless of linguistic or archeological evidence that interpreters have afforded, all of which is sketchy and biased in favour of the authors’ beliefs:
I see that the name is none but the name of Jesus, which is “يسوع“ in Arabic,
As told in the Book of John on our website, the three personalities of Jesus, Christ and Messiah were confused in one personality, to favour the version of events that Saul or Paul wrote,
Hence, the next name of “ذو الكفل” (dhu’Lkifl) should be none but Paul himself, as a rebirth of Ismael and Jesus,
Abrahamic regions’ historians will find this farfetched, but I’m certain that there is now evidence to this in books which have been kept secret, in the Vatican and the Judaic libraries,
The Dead Sea scrolls also do hint to this fact.
The fact that Christian scholars have ignored is that the Gospel of John, that is John the Baptist/Christ, was written by John himself, after Jesus had died on the cross. Whereas the Gospel of Matthew was written after John had died beheaded,
The birth that Matthew documented was none but that of Saul, who was the rebirth of Jesus.]
49. This is remembrance, and for the refuging ones is a radiant return,
50. The gardens of Eden, the gates are open for them,
51. Leaning in/on it, call they in it, by fruit and beverage,
52. Have they in it the ones with shortened extremities [absence of legs and arms], round [we read “أثراب"],
53. This is what you’ve been promised to the day of judgement,
54. This is none but Our Providence that never runs out,
[The description of existence after salvation cannot be but symbolic,
The Dharma talks about people who are not submitted to suffering of any kind, and that they look alike, with a mark on the top of their heads identifying them …, while the Ghita avoids all such descriptions,
But the Ghita goes on to say that there is a planet of sensual pleasures for those who’ve desired and earned such a place. Then it goes on to say that as soon as their credits are exhausted, the visitors of it will have to fall down again to the low world.
The wording in the Qur’an that is used to describe existence after salvation has two layers of meanings,
One has to look up the roots of the words used in those verses to come quickly to the conclusion that the Qur’anic interpreters’ exegeses are none but their wishful thinking: revealing the content of their hearts and minds,
The industry of guaranteeing eternal residence in paradise has been thriving in the Islamic world, and the evidence to the reduction of mental capabilities and the moral failure that such a belief has caused: is too obvious.]
55. This, and for the tyrants is the worst return,
56. The low world, they watch/experience it, bad is such a place,
57. This, so they experience it, fire and darkness,
58. And another like it in pairs,
59. “This crowd is bursting in with you, unwelcome: they have been burnt by the fire”,
60. They said: “but it is you who aren’t welcome, it was you who offered it to us, bad was such a decision”,
61. They said: “our Lord, whoever offered this to us: increase them a double in the fire”,
62. And they say: “how come we see not men we counted as bad?
63. “Have we taken them derisively, or have our visions been obscured to them?”,
64. This is the Law: the disputation of the people of the fire,
[This last passage summarises the stories of warring and disputing religions and materialistic ideologies: where every concept and belief: has to have an opposite by the very laws of nature,
While the people who never followed, and are thought to be the bad ones: are in fact living a comfortable life …]
65. Say: “I am but a warner, there are none of the deity, but only God, The One The Dominant,
66. “Lord of the heavens and the earth and what’s between them, The Exalted The Forgiver”,
67. Say: “this is a Major Declaration,
68. “From it you have been declining,
69. “I have no knowledge of the high beings as they dispute,
70. “Nothing is inspired to me except that I am a warner and clarifier,
71. “When your Lord said to the angels: ‘I am maker of a human from clay,
72. ‘So, as I rectify it and blow My Spirit in it: do prostrate to it’,
73. “So all the angels prostrated to it together,
74. “Except Iblis, he was arrogant and became of the distanced ones,
75. “Said He: ‘O Iblis, what prevented you from prostration to what I made with My Hand, are you arrogant or a haughty one?’,
76. “Said he: ‘I am better than him, you have made me of fire, and make him of clay/substance you did’,
77. “Said He: ‘exit from it, you are ostracised,
78. ‘Upon you is My Damnation until the day of redemption/religion’,
79. “Said he: ‘Lord, await me the day they are remitted/resurrected’,
80. “Said He: ‘so you are of the awaited ones,
81. ‘To the day of a known time’,
82. “Said he: ‘by Thy Magnificence I shall delude the whole of them,
83. ‘Except the abiders in Thee the righteous ones’,
84. “Said He: ‘Truth, and Truth I say,
85. “’Fill up the low world will I, of you and who follow you of them all together’”,
86. Say: “I ask you not for a reward, and neither am I pretentious,
87. “It’s none but remembrance to the worlds,
88. “And you will know his declaration after a while”
[It is not possible to set a definition of good and evil, and if you do: you fall in a potential trap of evil immediately,
The fairytale now was science yesterday, and the science today is tomorrow’s fairytale,
When Existence is known: non-existence matters no more]
