Surah 40
Pardoner
1. Ha’ Meem [ح م],
2. The descent of the Book from God the Exalted the Omniscient,
3. The Pardoner of error, the Acceptor of repentance, the Returner/Rewarder [we read “سديد”] of consequence, the Carrier of the Mace, no god but He, to Him is the destiny,
[The point, the straight line and the circle are primordial cosmic expression,
The Mace is a point from which a straight line emerges,
The star and the crescent admit the curvature, as a natural expression of linearity,
If religions and religion haters want to argue about their gods and which symbols they have or have not approved, or want to mock all symbols and curse them, it is their choice,
Those geometric essences are everywhere, shaping our visionary experience …
KWH:
meem- the point and the line from the point - the descent of the book from God the omniscient ... the linearity from the point -
Point the line and the circle
Out of potentiality arose the possibility of being, the line from the point of origin directed in a circumscribing manner linear when visioned from eye level and circular when visioned from a distance and a linear arc when viewed as a horizon in the okeanos of space.
Life of infinite potential arising from a single point, a singularity self-encompassing and propagating outwards into the void.
Order filled the chaos as light filled every recess of darkness. Light and darkness arose as possibilities and polarities from the Unity that transcends both.
Transcendent, pure vibrant full of life, all-encompassing light entered into the recesses of the polar world shedding light on obscurities and accidentalness and natural phenomena.
But distance requires two points... which requires space and polarity within space. In Union, space is transcended, since space is a construct just like time, which only exists within the duality ... in Truth these concepts are just concepts, in unity there is no past present and future, no here and there, no this and that, up or down, these are constructions of the intellect ...
ح- the letter looks like an arc - the horizon of the okeanos , when Noah asked the believers to join him on the arc - was not an arc in the physical sense of the word]
4. No one disputes God’s verses except them who distanced, be [addressing the messenger] not impressed by their returning in the countries,
[As the personalities who want to play the roles they are not fit for are given many chances …
Many of today’s leaders and kings were leaders and kings in past times,
Many men of religion also, now desperate to correct past errors, and to re-cast their religions as the best and most correct …
They’re bringing on more mischief and their teaching is of no use today whatsoever …
They say that if the world was like them: everything will be OK,
But the world is like them, and they are like the world,
So the next verse continues on …]
5. Before them, the people of Noah lied, and the sects after them, and each nation preoccupied itself with their messenger in order to take him, they argued by falsehood in order to refute the Law by it, I hence took them, so how was My consequence?
6. And thus your Lord’s word was due on those who distanced, that they are the dwellers of the fire,
7. Those who carry the Throne around it transcend in their Lord’s Effulgence/Gratitude and trust in Him, and they beg forgiveness for those who have believed: “our Lord, Thou hast encompassed everything [by Thy] Compassion and Omniscience, forgivest Thou for them who repented and followed Thy Path, and wardest them from the suffering of hell,
8. “Our Lord, and usherest them into the Garden of Eden that Thou didst promise them, also their forefathers who have reformed, also their pairs and their seed, Thou art the Exalted the Sovereign,
9. “And wardest them Thou from the ill, those that Thou wardest from ill Thou hast mercified, this verily is the greatest of all triumphs”,
10. That those who disbelieved call out: “the dislike of God is bigger than the dislike of yourselves, as you are called to faith and you disbelieve”,
[“The dislike of God”: who is disliking who?
In both English and Arabic: a double meaning is embedded,
But the fact that the sayer is the disbelievers: tilts the field to one side:
They’ve admitted it in their exegesis,
They say: god dislikes the disbelievers in their religion, more than they dislike themselves …!
If they knew God who likes everyone equally: they would be reading the same, but from a believer’s side: the disbelievers’ dislike of God is exposed.]Top of Form
11. They say: “our Lord, Thou hast deadened us twice and hast enlivened us twice, hence we’ve confessed to our errors; is there a way to an exit?”,
[The mention of two deaths and two lives has featured a few times in the Grand Book, only to point to the continuous cycle of physical lives and deaths,
For, you can’t say: “you were dead” [كنتم أمواتًا] unless you want to imply that you were alive: since the attribute of death can only be given to a once living entity,
So, when we say that pagan beliefs and practices stultify the believers in them, and reduce [ يُخصرون] their mental, logical, ethical and faithful capabilities: we do not exaggerate, and do not score rhetorical points: but it is plain and simple fact.]
12. This and all, is that when God is called singularly, you distance yourselves, and if He is affixed to, you believe; the Sovereignty is to God the Lofty the Almighty,
[Once again, the reminder that the trust and witness of God is not conditional to the trust and witness of a person, whatever unique status this person(s) has been awarded by your clergy and men of religious agendas, many of whom now come in civilian clothing,
And you see the places of rituals of Abrahamic religions ornated with the Name of God with the name of a prophet or a deified person right next to it …
Seemingly innocent, the statement points the mind in the direction of the natural law, stealthily avoiding the attention of the trusting in it.]
13. It is He Who manifests His Paragons to you, and descend He providence from the sky, [but] no one remembers except them who return,
14. Hence, invoke God in faithful Religion/Redemption, despite the distant ones’ disapproval,
15. [Is He] of High Reaching Stages, the One of the Throne, casts He the Spirit from His Aim upon whom He will of the abiders in Him, to warn [about] the day to the Encounter,
16. The day they are manifest, none of them is concealed to God, to Whom the Kingdom today, [it] is to God the One the Overpowering,
17. Today every self is rewarded by what she has earned, no wrong [occurs] today, God has swift accountability,
18. And do warn [addressing the messenger Gabriel] them [of the] day of aggregation, when the hearts are in the throats holding, no close friend or an intercessor for the darkened ones is obeyed,
[Hinting to a stage of existence without extremities, without action and re-action,
Who can stand such as stage, except those who have cast off their loads of materialism and false spirituality?]
19. Knows He the betraying eye, and what the chests conceal,
[The self-declared knowers of god and witnesses of him have no eye to what this says.]
20. God judges by the Law, and those who are invoked [we read “يُدعَون”] below Him judge nothing, God is He the Hearer the Looker,Top of Form
21. Have they not walked in the earth, to see how was the consequence to those who were before them, they were more intense in power and influence in the earth, so God took them by their sins, they had from God no protection,
22. That is because their messengers used to come to them with evidence, and they disbelieved, so God took them, is He Mighty the Rewarder of consequence,
23. And We sent Moses with Our Paragons and a decisive authority,
24. To the Pharaoh (Amen Hotep III) and Haman (Horem Heb) and Qaron (Aaron: Tut Ankh Amon), they said: “a magician, a liar”,
[The name “Qaron” is none but Aaron, and the misspelling might have been deliberately done, to remove the confusion in then Jewish Arabs about the stature of this personality and the role that he played.]
25. So he [Moses] came to them by the Law (Akhenaten) from Our Presence [a possible reading is “عبدنا", both readings point to our reading], they said: “kill the children of them who believed with him”, and they spared/liked [a possible reading is “استحبوا"] the women; the distant ones’ intrigue is indeed in confusion,
26. Said the Pharaoh: “let me kill Moses, and that he invoke his Lord; I fear he might exchange your religion, or that he might bring out decadence in the earth”,
27. And said Moses: “I take refuge in my Lord and your Lord from every arrogant one who believes not in judgement day”,
[Some light has been shed on this critical period of the history of Egypt, and indeed mankind, in both our reading of the Surah of Joseph (no. 12) and in our story of prophet Joseph,
It is not known that Joseph was a contemporary of Moses and Aaron, all the three of them were brothers and half-brothers, Amen Hotep III being the father or grandfather,
As for Akhenaten, he was the Khidr (the Green, the messenger Gabriel) as cited in the Qur’an, and the head of a religious group of Muwahhedeen (a people of Union), the true Israelites, in the city of Median that is Tel Amarna, none of which is left now but ruins,
The story is too long and complex to be summarised in a paragraph or two,
But the bottom line is that there were three major groups of people: the Egyptians, whose religion was a branch of Abraham’s religion, they were the aristocracy and the land owners; the immigrants from the Levant, who were the slaves living in the squalors of then affluent Cairo, and who were to be named later as the “Hebrew”, meaning the crossers, as they crossed the Red Sea on foot, when a super low tide occurred, making the trip on foot possible in the not too deep parts of the Red Sea, to return back to the Levant and the Mount of now al-Quds; and the Israelites, who had a good understanding of the Books of Abraham and the ones which were handed down to them from the prophets of the Sumerians going back prior to Abraham,
The rebellion led by Moses against the Egyptians and indeed his own father: triggered a civil war, and people were being slaughtered on both sides in their homes, in acts of cruelty reminiscent only of today’s state of affairs in the Levant, and indeed the whole world …
Akhenaten and some of his assistants attempted to ease the tensions, and he was given the status of an interim Pharaoh, until the matter was settled and Aaron became the Pharaoh, as a grandson of Amen Hotep from a Levantine mother.
Identity theft was a craft that ancient Egyptians mastered and used to immortalise themselves in the history books,
Historians are still confused about the identities of those personalities, but recent DNA tests done on some mummies from that time have pointed in the direction that COB has put forward,
Moses wanted to assume the personality of Akhenaten (Gabriel), as he always does.]
28. And a believing man from the people of the Pharaoh, concealing his faith, said: “do you kill a man for he says my Lord is God? and he brought to you the evidence from your Lord; if he is dishonest his dishonesty is upon himself, and if he is honest, some of what he promises is [bound] to strike you, God guides not him who is an excessive liar,
29. “O people, the kingdom is yours today as you are manifest in the earth, who can support us from/against the Might of God if it comes?”; the Pharaoh said: “I show you none except what I see and I guide you to none except the path of direction”,
30. And said the one who believed: “O people, I fear a [day] similar to the day of the sects befalling you,
31. “Similarly to the destiny of the people of Noah, Ad [Eden], Thamud and the ones after them, and God wants no wrong by the people,
32. “And, O people, I fear for you the day of calling,
33. “The day you turn back away, having from God no preventer, and he whom God has bewildered has no guide,
[The faithful always conceal their faith, and the people of religion use every means available to them to advertise their allegiance to their gods and religions …
Their theatrical exhibitions of dressing, ritualistic gestures, loud uttering of words from their Book and gratitude to their god …: will only earn them respect from likeminded people,
But often this makes them a subject of mockery as well, because religiousness is a competitive subscription, and the political alliances of religious people play a major role in shaping people’s opinions about them.
The faithful know that the best guidance they can give is their own character, their actions, and the advice they give to people in tough times …
Have the Islamic scholars, or any studiers of the Qur’an for that matter: noticed that there was a faithful man … perhaps before Moses embarked on promulgating his message, or immediately when he did …?
But the fact that he mentioned “God” and warned the people of the consequence of rejecting Moses’s messages: says that the people of the Pharaoh were not alien to the concept of monotheism …, and were indeed informed about previous civilisatins which had been vanquished …
The mention of the day of “calling”, and the destiny of the “sects” all point in the direction that COB has pointed to, and that is Egypt’s religion was a branch of Abraham’s religion. It was a monotheist religion with many different godly figures inherited from a far past … not unlike the Abrahamic religions/sects of today’s which affix the names of their prophets, saints, khalifs, imams … to god: in the belief that this is faith.]
34. “And Joseph came to you before with evidence, [but] you are still in doubt about what he came with, until he is vanquished you said: ‘God won’t send a messenger after him’, thus God bewilders them who are extremist and confused”,
[The Arabic wording of this verse implies that Joseph preceded Moses, but COB takes the precedence as hierarchical only,
The use of “حتى إذا” doesn’t imply that this is an event in the past of it being said, and hence our reading,
And yes, it has always been the case that Abrahamic religions don’t believe the messengers which come after whomever they believe, marking the end of messages with their belief!
But the most important question is: what was the evidence, and generally: what evidence do the messengers bring forward?
Of course, all sects of Abrahamic religions have a list of the miracles which were performed by their god or prophet, which they take as evidence of their god’s or messenger’s authority,
And recently I read on social media a text that is believed to be god’s word, saying that he bestows the power of “be” on his faithful servants …!
This happens to be the same power that pagan gods bestow on their faithful servants …!
Have those people thought about that?
So I suggest to them to examine this situation:
Two people standing right in from of you are both exhibiting what appears to be the power of “be”,
That is, they are performing acts of magic … which defy common understanding,
They conjure things, they bring out golden eggs from their mouths, they seem to levitate or go through walls, they make the quadriplegic stand up and walk …
Each one of them is saying that he has been given the power of “be” from god, and hence they are both representatives or manifestations of him …
However, they are teaching different things,
Which one will you believe?
So your minds are called upon to be the final judge, and not the dazzlement of their acts,
Imagine that both these men are not present in front of you, but you believe what you have been told, only because you want to …!
This is even worse than believing what you have actually witnessed …
This is what this Page has called: surrender,
The surrender of your mind, that most valuable gift you’ve been endowed with in order to learn and to acknowledge your Creator and the purpose of your life …: has to be shut off …
This is indeed a most tragic predicament,
Joseph’s evidence was that he was able to expose the tricks of the Pharaoh’s magicians, which the Pharaoh used as a demonstration of his false heavenly authority …
Unfortunately, all Abrahamic religions haven’t learned this lesson yet, and that is to understand the natural causes of things, and the Cause of those causes that is the Law,
And until they do, magicians of all sizes and shapes will continue to lure them down into the abyss of pagan beliefs …
The Books are not products of magic, they teach reason, and awaken the Spirit inside you,
Thousands of years have passed and many have yet to learn this basic lesson.]
35. Those who dispute God’s verses without authority that came to them: this is grossly disliked by God and by them who have believed, thus God imprints the heart of every haughty cruel one,
36. And the Pharaoh [Tut Ankh Amon] said: “O Haman [Horem Heb], construct for me an edifice, perhaps I reach the causes,
37. “The causes of the heavens, so I peak at the god of Moses, and I suspect he is a liar”, and thus the ill of the Pharaoh’s deed was embellished for him, and he was barred from the Way, the Pharaoh’s plotting is only in failure,
[This is referring to the new palace that Tut built to glorify and deify himself,
A palace that brought his detriment upon him, when the part of it that he was standing on one day collapsed, causing a major fracture to his hipbone which never healed, and was perhaps a cause of his death, and the incident was mentioned in the Surah of Joseph,
Tut had a weak build, due to being the child of an incestuous encounter that was meant to produce a child who was doubly related to Amen Hotep III, ranking him as top heir of him.
The concept of a structure which peaks to the heavens: was still known to then Egyptians, and indeed every other religion,
The ruins of earlier human civilisations were seen by them as a demonstration of this concept …
People knew better then that these structures were not tombs, places of rituals, water pumps, crocodile traps, airports for alien civilisations or power generation stations …
The theories about why and when the major archeological sites of Egypt were built and who built them are as many as the archeologists who’ve attempted to formulate them,
To approach the concept: those structures found all around the world: are the equivalent of what we call the ‘Holy Books’ today,
But because the purpose of the Holy Books has been lost in all Abrahamic religions: no sense at all can be made of those structures,
The most famous last built ones in the current time cycle are the Temple of Solomon in Ba’albek of Lebanon and the Pyramids of the sun and the moon in Mexico, and it was during the same centuries that both were built,
So to put it briefly: like the Books are meant to take your mind to peaks of awareness - and I’m being very careful in choosing my words, because most scholars still think that the meanings of the words of any language can be found in the dictionaries of it …: the pre-ancient or ancient megalithic structures are meant to take your mind to peaks of awareness,
Although the methods seem by far unrelated, they are not …: if those roads to higher consciousness/unconsciousness have been tread: both meet at high levels.]
38. And the one who believed said: “O people, follow me, I’ll guide you to the path of direction,
39. “O people, that so, this low life is leisure, and the hereafter is the home of settlement,
40. “He who has done bad will be paid back similarly, and who does good, whether a male or a female, while believing: those enter the garden, in it they are provided unaccountably,
41. “And O people, how come I call you to safety and you call me to the fire?
42. “You call me to distance in my God and to affix to Him what I have no knowledge of, and I call you to the Exalted the Pardoner,
43. “Undoubtedly, that what you call me to has no call neither in the lowlife and nor in the hereafter, and our return is to God, indeed the extravagant ones are the dwellers of hell,
44. “So you’ll remember what I’m saying to you, and I entrust my aim to God, God is Seer of the abiders [in Him]”,
[So let me remind you again, that the naïve sounding language hides essences which haven’t been recognised by religious interpreters: whether from the standpoint of religion or that of atheism,
Both attempts of interpreting the Books and the Hikmah have been failing consistently and repeatedly,
The Abrahamic religions the world is left with is a vault of mummies: to try to revive any of them now is like trying to revive a mummy: it takes a miracle that only Abrahamic religions believe will happen.]
45. So God sheltered him from the ill they plotted and surrounded the people of the Pharaoh with the worst suffering:
46. The fire, they are exposed to it day and night, and the day the Hour rises usher the people of the Pharaoh in the most severe suffering,
47. And as they debate in the fire, the meek ones say to the ones who are haughty: “we were to you followers, hence are you sparing us from a share of the fire?”,
48. Those who are haughty say: “we are all in it, God has judged between the people”,
49. And those who are in the fire say to the guards of the inferno: “invoke your Lord, may he relieve us from a day of suffering”,
50. They say: “weren’t messengers coming to you with evidence?”, said they: “yes”, said they: “you invoke!”, [but] the distant ones’ invocation is only in bewilderment,
51. That We support Our messengers and those who believed in the low lives and on the day the witnesses up-rise,
52. The day when no excuse benefits the darkened ones, for them is damnation and they get the bad home/circle,
53. And We brought guidance to Moses, and We bequeathed the Book to the people of Israel,
54. As guidance and remembrance to them who have a kernel,
55. So, be patient [addressing the messenger], God’s promise is Law, and ask for forgiveness for your errors, and transcend in the Okeanos/Gratitude of your Lord in the evenings and the dawns,
[The Book is bequeathed, without a title, in perhaps a different language: guidance to them who have a kernel …, in the hope that the new embracers of it will tread the roads to Reality that it opens,
Time after time the Book and Hikmah are reduced to mundane laws and concealed by the interpretations of them,
And the "debate in the fire" thus never ends, perhaps it has reached its peak in the present ...]
56. That those who dispute God’s verses without an authority that came to them: nothing is in their chests except superiority they do not attain, so do shelter in your Lord [addressing the messenger], it is He the Hearer the Seer,
57. Indeed, the creation of the heavens and the earth is greater than people’s creation, but most people know not,
58. And, aren’t equal the blind and the seeing; and those who believed and did good: and not [equal] the doer of bad, little do you remember,
59. The Hour is coming, no doubt about it, but most people believe not,
60. And your Lord said: “invoke Me and I respond to you”, those who are prideful not to abide in Me will enter hell humiliated,
61. [It is] God who made the night for you to repose in it, and the day for vision, indeed God is of abundance to the people, but most people appreciate not,
62. This and all is your Lord, Creator of everything, no god but He, so how are you faked?
63. Thus are faked those who have been of God’s Paragons repudiating,
64. [It is] God Who made the earth for you a settlement, and the sky a structure, and He pictured you and excelled in your pictures, and provided you with wholesome [things], this and all is God your Lord, Bountiful is God the lord of the worlds,
65. Is He The Animate, no god but He, do invoke Him in faithful redemption/religion, the Homage is to God the Lord of the worlds,
66. Say: “I’ve been proscribed from worshipping those you invoke below God when evidence came to me from my Lord, and I’ve been commanded to surrender to the Lord of the worlds”,
67. Say: “it is He who created you from substance, then from a drop, then from sticky tissue, then brings He you out as a child, then you reach your strongest, then you be elderly, some of you are redeemed from before, and for you to reach an allotted term, and may you discern,
[Allusions to earlier stages of human existence, and redemption is not physical death, as Islamic scholars would like to think.]
68. It is He who enlivens and deadens, so when He rules an aim, that so, He says to it “be”, and it becomes,
[Far from being magic, this is the power to set a conceived entity: free,
This is best represented by the image of oneself in a mirror that can be told to go.]
69. Have you not seen those who argue with God’s verses how far they are dismissed?
70. Them, who have falsified by the Book, and by what We sent Our messengers with, those will find out,
71. When the shackles are in their necks, and the chains [they] pull [we read “يَسحبون"],
72. In the heat, then in the fire they are scorched,
73. Then it is said to them: “where is/are what you affixed,
74. “below God?”, they said: “they have lost us; nay, we were calling nothing before”, thus God bewilders distant ones,
75. This and all by which you were rejoicing in the earth by lawlessness, and by what you were reveling,
76. Enter the gates of the inferno, eternally in it, bad is the lodge of the arrogant ones,
77. So be patient [addressing the messenger], God’s promise is Law, We either/what We demonstrate to you some of what We promised them, or We redeem you, so to us is all your/their return,
[A possible reading of “إمّا" is "إنّ ما”, in which case “بعضَ" should be “بعضُ”.
And indeed, a lot of what they have been promised has been demonstrated. But the people of Abrahamic religions are totally oblivious of the fire they are in, and they demand an oven in which they are to be roasted forever and ever.]
78. And We have sent messengers before you [addressing the messenger that is Gabriel], some of them: We’ve narrated to you, and some of them We didn’t narrate to you, and it’s not for a messenger to bring a verse except by God’s Ear, so if God’s Aim has come: it has been judged by the Law, and have lost there: the falsifiers,
[Verses are whispered/inspired in the ear of the messenger, and he writes nothing that is not so delivered, hence the irrefutability and oneness of all the messages and the Books, whether the people of religions can see this is another matter.]
79. God is He Who made for you the Bounties, so you are lifted by them, and from them you eat,
80. And for you from them are benefits, and so you reach by them proof/pilgrimage in your chests/emanation, and on them and on the orbiting planets you are carried,
[Islamic scholars, and Qur’anic haters alike, want a book which says that a god made domestic animals for their use as transport and as food!
The first group: for the purpose of perpetuating their rituals and shariah, and the second: only to mock the Qur'an,
And how many sects of Abrahamic religions claiming that they are or will be the exclusive witnesses of god? … have witnessed or want to witness only the persons that they like ...
But the witness of God leaves no gate in the mind unopen, and God’s Word by His messengers is recognised, and God’s Finger Prints everywhere in the world are seen.]
81. And shows He you His miracles, so which of God’s miracles do you repudiate?
[One cannot expect non-native speakers of Arabic to notice the esoteric layer of Qur’anic verses, but, by God, one would expect those who are, and who have awarded themselves the loftiest titles and spiritual ranks to do, or at least to stop making the Qur’an a subject of mockery, driven by tribal, religious and political rivalry.]
82. Have they not walked the earth to see how was the consequence to those before them? they were more [numerous], and of stronger power and effect in the earth, but it didn’t make them self-sufficient: what they were earning,
83. So when their messengers came to them with evidence: they rejoiced in what they had of knowledge, and it surrounded them: what they were derisive of,
84. So when they saw Our resolve, they said: “we’ve believed in God Singularly, and we’ve disbelieved what we were to Him affixing”,
85. So it didn’t benefit them: their faith, when they saw Our Might: God’s Principle, which has descended [we read “حلّت"] upon the abiders in Him: and have lost there the darkened ones
