Surah 61

The Array

1. Transcended in God what is in the heavens and what is in the earth, is He the Exalted the Sovereign,
2. O you who have believed, why do you say what you do not do?
3. It is immensely abhorred in God that you say what you do not do,
4. That God loves those who fight on His Way, arrayed, as if they are a fortified edifice,
[Indeed, if one listens to the speeches of heads of religion and political leaders: one might think this is the most virtuous man addressing the most virtuous people in the world …
But the calls to unite and to fight are actually meant to divide and to cause more destruction …
In their cocoons, each group see their own world, believing it to be the whole world …
Thus the “fight” never ends …
Indeed, the world is a fortified edifice,
What holds it together is the Law that rules all, including the wars of religions and their grudges …]

5. And when Moses said to his people: “O people, why do you harm me, and though you know that I am a messenger of God to you”, so when they turned away [we read “راعوا" from "راع يريع”], God blurred their hearts [as in vision], and God guides not an aberrant people,
[This, indeed, is the story of every prophet and messenger …
And like the Jews today believe they are the representatives of the message, and the Christians believe they are the representatives of the message: also, the Muslims believe they are the representatives of the message, also the Druze and the Bahais …
Hence, they are a divided nation … with each group wanting to have exclusive ownership of everything, from land and resources, to the heavens and the wisdom that came down from it …]

6. And when Jesus the son of Mary said: “O people of Israel, I am God’s messenger to you, confirming what is between my hands of the Torah, and a bringer of glad tidings of a messenger whose name is Ahmad [an alternative meaning: whose status is more thankworthy], so when he brought to them the evidence, they said this a blatant sorcerer,
[Few points are noteworthy,
Firstly, the discourse of the Christ was indeed confirming what came in the Torah,
What was being revoked was the shariah,
The shariah of eating, washing, marrying, trading … that was similar to Muslims’ shariah today,
Both the shariah of Muslims and that of the Jews: are not in their Book,
Whatever prophets teach their people in their time and circumstances: of rules of living and eating cleanly, behaving courteously and neighbourly, trading fairly, marrying honourably …: are rules for that time and circumstances,
When the essence of them is forgotten: the rules become ritualistic: devoid of spirit: believed to make a god happy,
They hence turn to exhibitionism and deception, and every twist of words possible linguistically is taken: to evade totally the spirit of the commandments, thus the shariah becomes a damnation upon them,
Corruption, dishonesty, animosity, lustfulness, avarice … become the way of life of those people, disguised in piety. And their competitions over the ownership of the heavens and the earth is thus intensified, brining upon them damnation and suffering …

Secondly, this very Book also confirms what was between the hands of the prophet: of the Torah and the Gospel, if Islamic scholars read 2:97 correctly, where the same expression is used: “confirming what is between his hands”,
The possessive pronoun “his” is referred to god in their exegesis, as if god needs to confirm to himself that his book confirms his previous book!
And no alternative meaning is ever considered by highly educated people reading the Qur’an, whether from the standpoint of believing it or loathing it,
All for the purpose of widening the divisions between Abrahamic religions and fueling their wars and competitions …

Thirdly, whether the name or the adjective “Ahmad” is used to foretell the coming of prophet Muhammad, or not: is immaterial,
If people truly believed their Books, they should wholeheartedly accept the oneness of them. The spirit that is same …
True Jews have no problem whatsoever in accepting the teaching of the Christ, true Christians have no problem whatsoever in accepting the Qur’an, true Muslims have no problem whatsoever in accepting the Hikmah,
And conversely, each of those should have no problem with people of other religions: reading and embracing their Books …

The Books are not any person’s or any group’s private property, their understanding is not restricted to any group or race of people, living by the spirit of them is not the privilege of a self-appointed group of people, learning them and understanding them is not a duty exclusive to any group of people …
Let this be known …
No barriers can people build to prevent this existential truth from materialising,
If people try to obstruct it: Time will override it, Time makes the clocks all around the world tick …]

7. And who is darker than him who fabricated falsehood on God while being called to Islam, and God guides not darkened people,
8. They would like to put out God’s Light by their mouths, and God is completing His light, even if distanced ones hate [it],
9. It is He Who sent His messenger with guidance and the Religion of the Law, to elevate it [we read “
يطهّره"] above all religion, even if the affixers hate [it],
[When the messenger Gabriel is known to be the one messenger who delivered all the messages: it becomes clear that the Religion of the Law is one: above all the religions of interpretations …]

10. O you who believe, shall I point you to a trade which salvages you from painful suffering?
11. That you trust in God and His messenger, and you strive in God’s Way, by your money and your selves, this and all is better for you, if you know,
12. Overlooks He your errors, and ushers you into gardens, the days stream underneath them, and good dwellings in the garden of Eden, this is the great success,
13. And another that you like: victory from God and revelation closely, and pass the glad tidings to the believers,
14. O you who believe, be supporters of God, like [when] Jesus the son of Mary said to the Hawareens: “who is my supporter to God?”, said the Hawareens: “we are the supporters of God”; so a group of the people of Israel believed, and a group disbelieved, so We endorsed the ones who believed over their enemy, thus they became emancipated [we read “
طاهرين”]
[The Hawareen being the people of now “
حوران" (Hawraan) in the south west of Syria, where the son of Mary took shelter from the Pharisees and the Roman authorities …
Unfortunately, their clergy haven’t noticed the mention of their people in the Qur’an, and even after this Page has pointed it to them, they still preferred to keep a title that has no historic verity “
بنو معروف”, and followed the religions of the Middle East and India and became divided between themselves …
The verse says a lot between the lines …]
