Surah 62
Friday
1. Transcend in God what is in the heavens and what is in the earth, the Monarch, the Sanctum, the Exalted the Sovereign,
2. It is He who remitted in the illiterate people a messenger from them, reciting to them His verses, purifying them, teaching them the Book and the Philosophy, even if they were before in a far bewilderment,
3. And others [other messengers] from them that they did not catch up with, is He the Exalted the Sovereign,
[The allusion here is to other messengers who were shortly before the spread of Islam and indeed during it …, who went unnoticed, and some of whom did not get a mention in history books …
As said before on this Page, the Qur’an was inspired to a number of messengers, although mainly to Gabriel and Michael,
The early Surahs which set the style were delivered in places far apart, but sounding as though they were written by the same Author,
The theories that historians and theologians have volunteered about the history of the Qur’an lack accuracy and comprehensiveness, and some are ill intended,
Most amazing is when Qur’anic haters pretend to know exactly when and where it all happened, and say that they have done extensive research to come to their conclusions …
The attempts that are being made to reduce the Qur’an to a book written by Aramaean priests, or by Muhammad or Ali …: will not work,
But to the contrary, they will intensify the misinterpretation of it …
Because those who sense awe upon its verses: will not be convinced, and bad interpretations of the Qur’an will hence continue to be improvised, in self-defence and self-protection,
The competition between Abrahamic religions can never settle by affirming one Book and rejecting or diminishing another …, but indeed by reaching the Truth that is in all of them: so they can be bound together as one Book …
Until this is done, the beneficiaries of hatred and division will continue to thrive, and to finance warring religions and supply them with weapons …]
4. This is God’s elevation, He brings it forth to whom He will, God has the Greatest Elevation,
5. The model of those who were made to carry the Torah, then they carried not it: is like the model of a donkey carrying scriptures; low-down is the example of a people who falsified God’s verses, and God guides not darkened people,
[This can be said about all the Books, which have been proclaimed to be a private property of religions, and interpreted to be books of shariah of eating, washing, slaughtering, fighting, hoarding of money … and of rituals of bowing to stones and bodily gesturing …
The destiny of the Books of Abrahamic religions has been the same, although the followers of religions find major differences between themselves …
And as we put this to them plainly and clearly: they get upset, because they don’t want to see that their criticism of one another applies to themselves firstly,
It makes only sense if every religion start self-critiquing,
Better still: if they looked at the Books of others with an open mind,
So they can see where they themselves went wrong …
But this is a big ask from the clergy on every side, who are frightened of a god who created them to punish them,
Rational thinking and open-heartedness: are indeed the tenets of faith: that all religions have missed.]
6. Say: “O people who have become Jewish, if you proclaim that you are the masters of God apart from the people, wish death, if you were honest”,
7. They don’t wish it ever, by what their hands have forwarded, and God is Knower of the darkened people,
[The death that in Union is that of the ego and its ailments and hopes …,
That is the death that is also referred to as life in some Abrahamic Books, as in “who believes in me will live although they’ve died” (Gospels) …, and called “natural death” in the Book of Letter to Self of the Hikmah that COB has posted in English on its website,
Unfortunately, the scholars of all Abrahamic religions have been able to read only physical life and death, and were hence confused …
The following verse is about physical death … that very materialistic people wish they could overcome to live forever,
Those, their fake spirituality is only meant to affirm their physicality,
They think it buys them eternity in a world bound to the cycle of destruction and regeneration …
Indeed, it’s not only the Jews who believe they are the masters that god has chosen apart from the people,
The misunderstanding of the titles which came in the Books is behind this confusion, of which Ahlu Lbeit (the people of the House) in Islam, and the people of Ma’aroof (the people of Virtue) in Druze … are other examples,
Both titles refer to the people who’ve achieved high moral and intellectual understanding, and do not point to a tribe of people holus bolus …]
8. Say: “that death from which you run away: that it’s encountering you, then you are returned to the Knower of the unseen and the witness, so He informs you of what you were doing”,
9. O you who believe, if it is called to prayer from the day of Friday: do seek the remembrance of God, forsaking trade, this and all is better for you if you were knowledgeable,
10. So, once the prayer is over, do spread in the earth, seeking elevation from God, and remember God immensely, may you achieve,
[Islamic scholars haven’t noticed that this is not only a call to an honest prayer on Friday for the Muslims, but also a call to an honest observation of the Sabbath for the Jews, which starts at sunset on Friday,
Both religions have reduced the time of meditation, contemplation, peace, doing voluntary work, reading of scriptures, cleansing oneself from grudge, envy and an insatiable desire of making money …: to a ritual which a god demands, in order to reward them,
And here again, it is confirmed that the Qur’an did not cancel the previous religions, but indeed corrected the misconception of them, and freed the Books from the tyranny of religions …
Unfortunately, the Qur’an itself has now been misconceived, and turned upside-down in every commandment of it …
Confirmed also, that many of the Arabs of then Arabia, and the tribes of Quraysh themselves were Jewish, or thought of themselves to be so,
The addressing of “people of Israel” was not directed only to the Jews of the Levant, who spoke Hebrew, but indeed to the Jews of Arabia, whether Islamic historians like this assertion or not.]
11. And if they find a trade or a distraction, they indulge in it and leave you [the messenger] holding on; say: “what God has is better than distractions and trade, God is the Best of all Providers”
