Surah 107

The Rain

1. Have you seen the one who falsifies/lies about religion?
2. So that, this is him who pushes back the orphan,
3. And urges not to feeding the poor,
[All Abrahamic religions command charity and caring for the orphans …
If they want to take only the surface meaning to learn the most self-evident morality …:
As we’ve said a few times: it is the morality that can be exercised only in the presence of injustice …

And even if this is taken to be the purpose of such morality: its aim should be to abolish injustice altogether …

But the facts are that the societies of religious people are full of wealthy benevolent and charitable people: because injustice is rife in them …!

Hence we’ve said, the commandments of charity and benevolence will be fulfilled when injustice has been abolished,
Hence the next verse, whose true meaning has escaped Islamic scholars for centuries …
But I’m certain now, that despite their staunch opposition to our reading: they’ll be adopting some of it, because the tragedy of their long-held interpretations is becoming too obvious …]

4. So, woe to the praying ones,
5. Who are about their prayers inattentive,
6. Them, who exhibit/pretend,
[When prayers are thought to be an activity that god demands … and which he rewards with favours in the world and the hereafter …: they are not much different from the rituals of heathen people …
They are practised to buy favours from the heavens, and to show off piety …
Prayer, Sabbath, fasting … are all meant to be a time for contemplation and meditation: which brings down “the rain”:]

7. And they prevent the rain

Surah 108

The Nectar

1. We have given you the Nectar,
2. For you to pray to your Lord and transcend [we read “
و ابحِر”],
[If Muslims, and indeed any Abrahamic or other religion, still think that god demands the slaughter of animals or whatever else …: they have not moved away from pagan religions by a whisker …
Their reading of “
و انحر” (a command to slaughter) cannot be ameliorated in any way.]

3. That your hater is the rejected one

Surah 109

The Disbelievers
